Starfinder Supersubscriber Confusion

I am confused.

In order to be a Starfinder Supersubscriber: (straight from the http://paizo.com/store/subscriptions page)

"As a bonus, when you sign up for to Pathfinder Adventure Path or four physical Starfinder subscriptions you'll qualify to gain access to the Paizo Advantage."

And:

"To become a Starfinder Superscriber and gain the Paizo Advantage benefit you must be subscribed to four physical Starfinder subscriptions."

My problem: There are only three (3) physical subscription options + one (1) PDF SF Guild sub, hence I cannot (no one can) gain the Paizo Advantage benefit!

Some explanation would be great.

- Thanks

Actually, there are 4 physical subscriptions.
-Starfinder RPG (these are the hardcover rulebooks)
-Starfinder Adventure Path
-Starfinder Maps
-Starfinder Accessories

This is the one you're missing - the subscription to the adventure paths.

It's currently bi-monthly, but that will change in July/August. Note also that another requirement is that one item from each subscription needs to have shipped to you in order for the Paizo advantage to apply. So, you can become a superscriber but depending on which product you choose to start with the paizo advantage might not kick in for a while.

If you go ahead with the AP subscription above, then you'll be able to get Customer Service to cancel your PFS subscription (again, once you've received at least one item from each subscription).

You can also just subscribe to the Pathfinder Adventure Paths, they're great books, have all sorts of ideas, magic items, monsters, and NPCs to mine if you create your own adventures.

I can't afford to subscribe to four different Starfinder lines so it works great for me.

That should be less of a problem than it used to be, when the previous item would sell out before the next one became available. If you start all of your subscriptions that don't have anything coming out in April with the previous rather than the next items, Paizo Advantage will turn on with the April subscription shipments.

The main people still affected are those who buy something, like it and then subscribe (to the next item onwards). There’s a trap there - especially if it’s the RPG line.

If they bought the preceding item from Paizo they can probably sort it out via CS. It’s not easy to understand if you’re new though.

Hi Griffonbait,

It sounds like the folks in this thread have you pretty well-covered for answers, but I just thought I'd pop in to offer to help with any further questions or concerns that you may have.

The main points for the superscriber status is that yes, there are 4 physical Starfinder subscriptions, and that as Steve said, at least the first item for each subscription must process for shipment before the discount kicks in. I apologize for any confusion! Just let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

Thanks!

Thank you for the help. I am currently looking at the Starfinder main page and it is listing only 3 physical and 1 PDF subscriptions. At the bottom in the section that says Available Now. The page URL is: http://paizo.com/store/starfinder

I suppose web store admin needs to get this oversight fixed.

Again, thank you.

Hey, Katina Davis, I now have another question: Do I need to unsubscribe from the PDF Starfinder Society product since it is automatically added as part of the Paizo Advantage benefit?

Cheers.

Paizo Employee Customer Service Representative

Hi Griffonbait,

I'm sorry for the confusion with those subscriptions! You can find all of our available subscriptions on the Subscription page here. It looks like they're not all showing up on the page you linked, which I will point out to our store team.

As for your second question, it looks like our system has automatically replaced your paid PDF subscription with the complimentary one now that all of the physical subscriptions have shipped their first product. There shouldn't be any additional actions required from you right now.

I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to ask if there are any further questions or concerns that you may have in the meantime.

Thanks!

Thank you, Katina.

Great Paizo support. Ask your up line manager for a raise, you deserve it.

Cheers.

Hi Katina,

Since the "fix" in early April, I have just noticed that I have been charged for the Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Scenarios, while also receiving the free PDFs.

My subscription page is indicating the Guild Scenarios are Complimentary.

Order: 5020788 (April 25, 2018), for Guild scenarios #1-12 and #1-13 was not charged, but then Order: 5164212 (May 30, 2018), was charged for #1-14 and #1-15. Then I also got an email for Order: 5168233, (the free PDFs of #1-14 and #1-15). Weird to say the least!

Can you please ensure the paid subscription for these Guild Scenarios is removed, thanks. Also, please refund the charges associated with the unwarranted charge for Order: 5164212 (May 30, 2018).

Thank you for your support,
Robert

Hello Robert,

Thank you for letting us know. I have issued a refund for order 5164212. You should be able to see it as soon as your bank processes it. I took a look at your subscription and it is flagged as complimentary so I am not sure why it charged you for those. I have asked the tech team to take a look at your subscription. When we send out the June subscriptions please keep an eye on it and let us know if this happens again.
