Anyone planning Eberron, etc

As there is still no Eberron for 5e, I'd love to try it in PF 2e. Anyone thinking on this? (In addition to Planescape, and other cool earlier campaigns)

As much as I like Eberron as a setting, there's pretty much a snowball's chance in hell that it's going to get official Pathfinder support; it's firmly in the hands of WotC. Even if WotC isn't actively using it, they still use its assets in things like the core rulebook (IE Eberron's pantheon of deities) and have the legal rights to it - Paizo even thinking of doing anything with it on an official level would likely be breaking trademark laws. This also applies to Planescape, Dark Sun, etc.

It'd be one of the few settings where goblins make sense. So yes, I am considering it. (Also considering tweaking Forgotten Realms to make goblins playable. Also considering not playing Pathfinder 2nd edition).

My TSR settings of choice when not rolling homebrew have always been Dark Sun, Ravenloft and Planescape. Even though Paizo can't /officially/ support those, I'd definitely be interested in seeing how well PF2's ruleset enables them.

Huh, you know, the biggest stumbling block for me homebrewing Eberron 5e is deciding how to handle dragon marks.

With PF2 that might be pretty easy depending on how ancestries actually work. Make the marks ancestry feats. That could work really well.

Same here, I think Eberron will be good in PF2.

- Dragonmarks as ancestry feats.
- Warforged might be difficult to translate but not more than in PF1. Also, most warforged feats may also become ancestry feats.
- Artificers might finally be easier to create a niche for, with a focus on the resonance system.
- Action points might enable a character to temporarily increase his proficiency for one action instead of just adding d6's.
- Feats like Greensinger Initiate might easily become class feats.

I'm considerably cooler on the idea of Eberron with PF2 as it seems goblins are going to have too much Golarion flavour ingrained and one of the key reasons for playing in Eberron was to be able to allow goblin PCs at the table.

I prefer hobgoblins but I guess they're easier to implement... +int/+dex/-cha small goblins, +con/+dex/-cha medium hobgoblins... +cha goblinoids are a no in my book, but it's easy to swap the bonuses around.

I miss Ghostwalk...

As others have said, PF2 may work better than either 3.5 or PF1 for running Eberron. But we'll see. I would love to run Eberron again for my group, but there are also other systems that make for good contenders for running Eberron: e.g., Savage Worlds, Fate, etc.
