Paizo makes some pretty sweet Starfinder pawns.

I know they aren't minis, but they will get delivered in a reasonable amount of time. :-)

This has become my solution. We played with bottlecaps and jelly beans for years, so I'm sure we'll be able to "make do" with the pawns.

As I said, iron gods pawns from Pathfinder

Spoiler:
It has large robotic scorpions, large robotic octopi, more robot pawns than currently exist in the starfinder range, a freaking orc with a chainsword and a giant Aeon Empire robot. Not to mention lots of humanoid npc pawns that have a kind of savage barbarian Sci-Fi aesthetic

Also, Hot Wheels will occasionally release a space ship with their regular cars (currently the Milano and Batwing) that come with a base that almost fits in a starship battle hex.

So, for 1.09 US currency your party can fly the Milano from Guardians of the Galaxy.

And yes they're in with all the other cars but they made a bunch of Milano, so happy hunting!

I ran Gamma World for years and for that I bought 1" washers from the hardware store and glued portraits taken from various websites (DeviantArt is a good one) onto them to make the PCs and NPCs that they met in the wasteland.

Over four years I got a sizable number of the things, and Gamma World stuff is so diverse that I could also use a fair amount of it for Starfinder. I also used this method for Skittermander pawns for Skitter Shot.

But yeah, when I got into Starfinder I bought a bunch of the pawn sets; Iron Gods indeed rocks with all the laser guns and robots. both Shattered Star and Strange Aeons have Lovecraftian stuff that works for any space horror. Shattered Star has Moon Beasts, Hounds of Tindalos, and Leng Ghouls, while Strange Aeons has Leng Spiders and a bunch of interesting clockwork monsters that would not be out of place on some long-dead planet.

The Starfinder pawns did a good job of covering all the bases quickly. The core book, pact worlds and alien archive sets are plenty for metro a generic encounter/adventure. I’m hoping the AP sets can be more exhaustive than the PF ones (given there’s less adventure).

Dark Archive

Ninja Division will no longer make Kickstarter projects

In my opinion they overextended themselves with Starfinder and blame it on toxicity, but most posts are actually really civil & matter of fact and they have only themselves and their lack of communications to blame.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

A good decision. They bit off more than they could chew then tried to solve the problem by eating more.

For the bigger creatures did you arrange the jellybeans a certain way or did you just pour them into a big pile?

The old: "You eat what you kill" play style... delicious.

We use action figures.

Although it's hard to take an ellicoth seriously when it looks like Sponegebob Squarepants.

So more than 4 weeks without an update and still no miniatures

Yeah, in that same boat here in GA. Feels like the chance of actually getting miniatures is going down.

Hopefully someone can get Paizo to make some sort of statement at Gencon next weekend, because Ninja Division hasn't so much dropped the ball as it has spiked it on their customers' toes with both hands.

Give me lead poisoning or give me death!

But.... what.....huh....

Doesn't lead poisoning cause death?

and aren't most miniatures resin or plastic now?

Grrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

So 5 weeks without an update after the promised biweekly and people stopped posting that they were receiving miniatures...

So no information and the miniatures stopped flowing, I think we need some Paizo intervention

It would appear that, if you go to their booth at Gencon and ask them about it, you will be told to email their customer service department...by the guy who runs their customer service department.

Liberty's Edge

Still nothing here in NY. A friend of mine is claiming he got an email saying his second wave of miniatures is coming.

It's a lie so bold it will set pants ablaze. Wave 1 hasn't even been shipped yet.

However, it could be the other miniatures from wave 1. I only have 4 minis from wave 1 (yes, lucky I have any), so there should be a second order coming from Wave 1. That may be what is happening here.
