Spear Sling & Syringe Spear

Rules Questions

Hi all,
Can a syringe spear be used with a spear sling?
It seems to be a spear with all traits of the spear apart from the syringe...

Moreover...I don't understand if the spear sling damage is the damage of the projectile or of the tube?

And...which weapon group would spear sling belong to?

Thanks,
Skarm

The description for the Spear Sling mentions other weapons in addition to the list, so we know the list isn't exhaustive. And since the Spear Syringe is just a modified Spear, we can assume it should work.

A harpoon, javelin, shortspear, spear, or other weapon shot from a spear-sling is treated as a projectile weapon instead of a thrown weapon, increasing its maximum range and allowing it to be used underwater. Using a spear-sling requires two hands. /.../

If you're using a Spear-Sling then you use the stat block of the Spear-Sling, not the 'ammunition'. So you use the damage of the tube.

It isn't listed in any of the groups. Either it doesn't have any weapon group, or you use the weapon group of the ammunition. Up to your GM's judgment, but personally I would allow the later.
