Exocortex combat tracking and observation

Hey, just a quick question about the mechanic's combat tracking ability and observation states.

The combat tracking ability allows you to designate a foe to track. It then states it gives you BAB bonuses "as long as the target is in sight". Is this just a condition on when you gain the BAB bonus, or does it also dictate when combat tracking ends? In other words, does a mechanic have to spend the action to re-establish tracking every time an enemy does something like move through cover or if the mechanic ducks behind cover?

Obviously you don't gain combat tracking bonuses against creatures with full concealment and/or full cover from you, I'm mainly checking if a creature moving out of sight just suppresses the tracking or completely breaks it.

The way I see it is your exocortex is locked into the enemy and it is keeping track of it until it is dead or gone ftom the fight

This would be the easiest way to do it. Imagine having to relock on to the enemy every time it moves behind a pillar or ducks behind a something for a round. That would kind of take the fun out of it. I think the exocortex understands that if an enemy dives behind a couch it is still going to be behind the couch at the start of your turn. It basically tracks the enemy position and the enemy still gets a bonus for being behind cover.
