Wanting to build a prosthetic arm with a built in gun i have to pay...
100cc for the arm.
3050cc for the quickdraw mount in the arm.
then,
750cc for a base ranged weapon to get mounted into the arm.
For a grand total of
3900cc.
Did I math that right?
Equipting a drone with a weapon is not free? yes? You got to buy an extra weapon to mount it on your drone?

I think you’ve added an unnecessary step. You don’t need to get a prosthetic limb and then add a hideaway storage compartment. You can get it in one go.
The storage prosthetic limb has a built-in concealed storage compartment, which functions as a hideaway limb, for $1,450; then you add the weapon to that.

Technically, no. You pay 100 for a stand alone cybernetic arm, 150 for a standalone hideaway limb (which by description is compartment inside an organic limb and not a full replacement itself) 1450 for a full replacement cyber limb with compartment or 3050 for a quickdraw weapon compartment in an organic limb. For whatever reason there is no option for a quickdraw full replacement limb.
If you just want the quickdraw weapon mount you should be able to pay the flat 3050. But since they make you pay almost 10 times as much for a cyber limb with a standard compartment I would assume you would pay astronomical fees to have an integrated quick draw cyber arm weapon.
And lastly, yes, you must pay separately for any weapon in a drone mount.

I do not see why there is a restiction to just small arms. If you are going to replace an forarm with a gun it is already being held with one "hand" for longguns you would just have to steady it with your "free" hand to shoot. Otherwise isn't there a "unsteady" rule for when firing a weapon. I think that would apply to firing an arm mounted cannon single "handedly".

I am fully there with you, brace it and run with it as a two hander. And there are plenty of examples in other media of the machine gun arm... but it's a young system and maybe they just haven't gotten to a dedicated cyber systems supplement.

Aww darn there goes my dream of my pc named mega man with his cybernetic arm and hovering dog companion. I am joking about that >.>.
The weapon diversity might be a bigger issue than the arm cannon. A called starknife might substitute for the Ring Boomerang, but there isn't much in SF to distinguish between the pharaoh shot, Dust Crusher and Drill Bombs, and there is no equivalent to the Rain Flush, Flash Stopper or Dive Missile (save-only AoE, competitive stun-only, and personal-scale tracking respectively). There are of course examples other than MM4.
