Just for clarification, am i reading it correctly? A star shaman instinctively knows his position in the galaxy?
It says when a star shaman can see the stars, he knows his precise location.
I would call that knowing his position in the galaxy, sure.
only when outside and looking at the stars. Which would technically include a systems sun but i think they need to wait for nightfall.
Fortunately they can step outside of a starship if they have to...
In a ship with sensor feeds running should probably count too.
