PF1 and PF2

PF1E and PF2E is what I've been going with so far, with upper case instead of the lower case you went with. I'm not particularly worried about standardized abbreviation, since in context they all are pretty obvious. I know what you're talking about, you know what I'm talking about, and that's what's important.

P1E and PF2e

PF1e and PF2nd, because I'm obtuse like that.

Sovereign Court

I toss my hat in for not using abbreviations at all! Pathfinder and Pathfinder: Second Edition. D:

Pathfinder 2 and Pathfinder Classic (full disclosure, I did not come up with that).

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook Subscriber

P1E because it looks like internet vernacular for Pie. And because it's quicker.

1.0 and 2.0 (with an optional PF in there to prevent confusion with other systems)

I appreciate the comments, but you didn't actually vote!

PF 1e & PF 2e, seems to make the most sense

PF1 and PF2 is what im sticking with. "E" is what is used for D&D.

1e and 2e when there is no AD&D in the context.

If the discussion also involves AD&D, then 3.P and PF2.

If there turns out to be a reasonable degree of compatibility, the latter could be 3.P2.

PF1E
PF2E

Started off with PF1E and PF2E, then switched up to P1E and P2E as they gained momentum.

Nae really worried either way as both work, but PF1E & PF2E would be my preference.

P1E & P2

PF (why change the name; it's always been PF)

PF2 (it's the most accurate, be accurate)

Speaking just for myself, I'm gearing toward PF1 and PF2. The lowercase "e" is superfluous, as the number denotes the edition.

PF1 is more useful to specify between editions, i.e. "they did this so much better in PF1." If Pathfinder First Edition is called simply PF, it loses function as a catch-all abbreviation for the game in general, its world, the culture and customs associated with it, etc.

Anyway, just my two cents.

So in essence there is a hierarchy?

PF (All Things Pathfinder)

PF1 (Pathfinder First Edition)

PF2 (Pathfinder Second Edition)

I could get behind that.

Is pathfinder so long that we NEED an abbreviation? Maybe pathfinder classic and new pathfinder. ;)

PF1 and PF2 is easy to type. And I like the idea that "PF" covers the whole thing and PF1/2 are like..sub-folders. Yay!

Or we could go the Microsoft Route. Pathfinder 2009 and Pathfinder 2019? Or like Starbound, Pathfinder Irritated Koala and Pathfinder Cheerful Giraffe?

D&D 3.5.5 and D&D 3.5.5.5

PF1 ad PF2 or just P1 and P2, though I think I use P1e and P2e the most

PF1 and PF2 are the clear winners!

I've changed my vote in solidarity.

You heard it here first folks! Just kidding. I am cautiously optimistic for PF2.

Liberty's Edge

I like PF1.0 and PF2.0.

PF1 and PF2. Simples.

I’d vote for P1 and P2 myself.

The fewer characters the better!

Advanced Pathfinder (AP) :)

I asked to James Jacobs. Did you see that? Hehe
