Rameth the Delver |
Rameth turns on Albus.
What are you doing? I was knocking him out! There was good info to be had.
he is still dead with the non lethal I did to him?
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth swears and move back to the other room, and takes out his whiskey and drinks a swig then pours some in a mug leans against the wall and drinks slowly.
What the hell is going on? Just stupid, word gets out no one will ever surrender.
You around any more Howard? Any advice
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth absently scratches each of the three heads in turn.
Thanks bud. Absently he pulls out three small pieces of jerky and gives them to him.
Then he slumps down to the floor and lets the dog curl up on his lap while he drinks his whiskey.
probably 5 minutes or so
Rameth the Delver |
give a chance for the others to post.
Rameth the Delver |
yea I figured it would, just happy accident that rameth is pissed
Rameth the Delver |
ah but you forget he has a drinking problem, and a communication problem. I'll give it a few minutes of in game time, then he will speak up about the body in the gassy room
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
couple of flights today, so will post when i can
Dwalindor, rather sullen and to nobody in particular...
"well this day aint going at all as I hoped. Here I was all excited to smash some undead and end up being no better than the thugs we were chasin. Enough to drive me to drink or one of them head doctors. Neither sounds all that appealing. I need to smash some undead to get back on track."
Rameth the Delver |
Well you are welcome to some of my favorite rotgut.
He pours another mug.

Golarion's head doctors are of the "drill to let the evil spirits out" variety so I wouldn't recommend a head doctor.
Rameth the Delver |
Oh DM I made that religion check for the butterfly or whatever it was by taking a 1 on religion
Rameth the Delver |
displeasure at the worshiper or displeasure at the ones who may or may not have killed said worshiper?
Rameth the Delver |
Well Calin, apparently the one you took down at the end there was a Desnan. And Desna may be upset with you.
did these fellows have the grave robber chains?
Calin Tinderfoot |
"That's certainly possible. I couldn't take the risk though. Anyone associated with whoever made that "thing" back there is evil. Who knows how many people me might have killed if he got away."
Rameth the Delver |
I have no issue with stopping the runner. Shame about the two that gave up though. There is money to be made in information. Dead guys give us none. Lets be smart about it next time. I figure we have about 5 minutes before that room clears. I assume that body is the man we are looking for. Someone go search the corpses we just made.
"Angel Eyes" Albus |
Not sure if it makes any difference but If we are following initiative Albus attacks first than Rameth. Would the thug still live without the second attack?
What?! He started! Albus shrugs and points at the nearby corpse with his blood dripping sword.
DMummy |
Back earlier than I though but I'm going to go exercise so responses will be spotty.
All the men you've just killed, some would say murdered, are equipped like the guards on the surface and each have a hand crossbows (with a total amongst them of 28 bolts), a punching dagger, a sap, four vials of various liquids, a climber's kits, a crowbar, 2 iron rods tipped with gold, a set of thieves tools and the silver chain bracelet like the one on the driver. They also have 7gp each on them.
Finally they're clad in leather armor.
The theives' tools are masterwork quality. The iron rods are Sunrods.
The leather armor is magical. Cast identify to determine the nature of the magical enchantment.
The three are each carrying a potion of cure light wounds, a vial of antitoxin, a flask of alchemist's fire, and a vial of holy water.
Rameth the Delver |
Looks like crooked guards. Had we not killed them we would not have a problem.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 appraise i will add this to the sheet later.
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth heads into the gaseous room.
Let's see what trouble we can get into here.
DMummy |
Inside the ruined laboratory you find nothing of value except the body except a scrap of paper on the body lying in the room.
Your sect's efforts have been exemplary so far, but there is much yet to be done. The necropolis of Wati will soon be opened, and we might find clues that have lain hidden for too long. Transportation and means of communication will be provided. A gang of grave robbers called the Silver chain should provide you with the cover and resources you need to continue the search.
Once you arrive in the city, infiltrate this Silver Chain and bend them to His divine will. Move quickly. Once the Pharasmins open the necropolis to explorers, we run the risk of outsiers finding the mask first.
Succeed and Hakoteps' moment of resurrection will son be at hand. I do not need to tell you how much I would loathe expressing the Sky Pharoahs displeasure should you fail.
-Meret-Hetef
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth reads it out loud
1d20 + 9 + 1d6 ⇒ (15) + 9 + (3) = 27 religion
Does the body look like he has been roughed up and captured recently?
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth will also go through the lab and search for any alchemy materials still good
"Angel Eyes" Albus |
Yea, this is what it says:
"Your sect's efforts have been exemplary so far, but there is much yet to be done. The necropolis of Wati will soon be opened, and we might find clues that have lain hidden for too long. -Meret-Hetef"
What knowledges, if any, apply to know info about: Hakoteps, Sky Pharoahs and Meret-Hetef?
Take 20 on perception for 26 searching the body.
DMummy |
Rameth: what are you trying to research via Knowledge (Religion)?
Albus: Knowledge (History) and Knowledge (Local).
History - The DC for Hakoteps and Sky Pharaoh is DC 40.
Local - The DC for Meret-Hetef is DC 35.
The body doesn't look like it's been roughed up - someone seems to have sealed the person in. You can make a Heal check to determine why he died.
The body appears to have only clothing on it, of no value as it's been stained by the bodily fluids of the decomposing corpse.
Rameth the Delver |
Oh I was trying to learn about those names but icant get that high
Rameth the Delver |
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11 heal
DMummy |
Oh I was trying to learn about those names but icant get that high
I figured I'd give you a 5% chance to find out - literally rolling a 20 to glean some information. But neither are common knowledge and there's no reason any of you would know the names...yet.
Yeah they're still there.
Rameth the Delver |
2d20 ⇒ (8, 1) = 9 local then history
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth will also go through the lab and search for any alchemy materials still good
DMummy |

:D
There's nothing salvagable in the room - the people who were working here clearly had no idea what they were doing and have ruined everything even before the terrible gas was created.
Rameth the Delver |
just kidding!!
Rameth leads the way to the door to the east.
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23 check for traps
Assuming not traps he opens the door
DMummy |
Rameth, as you open the door you find a short stone hallway that has a door to the north which ends in a large room. Four stone wells fill much of this otherwise unremarkable room. Disassembled mechanical remains lie scattered around plumbing connections in the southeast corner.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Dwalindor nods at Calins comment.
"Aye, it is a big mess. Obviously best not to fool around with things you don't understand. "
Dwalindor will advance to get a better look at the room.
Perc : 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
