I've got most of what I need from 3.5 stored SOMEWHERE. If not in my room or in PDF format, it's at my FLGS.

I sold every last Dungeons and Dragons book for Pathfinder.

It's a decision I'd make every time.

I didn't sell all of them...but I didn't keep all them either.

We had one income, I had no choice.

Well living off only living parent does help in some cases. Not always.

All my hardback books are with a friend out in Arizona. I have all of it and then some in PDF though.

I still make use of a ton of 3.5 stuff in my PF games so I make a point of keeping it around.

I'd probably use some converted 3.5 stuff...but only if I was running a PF(1) game set in something like Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms or even Ravenloft.

That's a good idea!

I haven't sold off a single thing of my collection, regardless of edition. I probably should just to be able to reclaim the shelf space, but I doubt I ever will.

My collection runs deep in my veins. :)

“From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remembered-
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Pathfinder now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us against Pathfinder II.”

That is a matter of opinion.

I still have every one of my 3.5 books. They haven't been touched outside of moving since Pathfinder launched, but they are still there.

I do, too. I have all of the "generic" brown cover splatbooks as well as the Monster Manuals and several others. Do I use them now? Practically not at all. Will I get rid of them? No. No no no.

I was a dumb kid and wrote my name in all of them, so I'd be embarassed to get rid of them like that.

I admittedly mostly use PDFs, but I do have some books I still have around. I haven't touched my core 3.5 books in years, but I pull out splatbooks here and there as I want/need things.

I sold a few 2e D&D things a few years back. I still kick myself for it but I really had to have cash on hand fast and the owner of the FLGS offered me a good deal of it for them.

Pfft. You call this an edition war?

I remember back when we all played a game called & because alliteration and the letter D hadn't been invented yet. Our math was so primitive in that edition that only number we could roll was a 1. Everything was a critical fumble and that's how we liked it.

Then some guy named Pythagoras strolls into the agora and sets up his fancy table and pulls out a d2.

"Who'd like a chance to succeed?" he asked.

Well, let me tell you, we grabbed that guy (none of your complicated poindexter grapple rules needed) and hustled him and his fancy "coin flip" system down to the nearest Witch Huckin Cliff and tossed him right into the Aegean.

That's how you edition war.
