I ran 1-08 Sanctuary of Drowned Delight for the first time the other day.

The rest of the story:
After the introduction and finding out from Fitch that the Arniselle lodge was of an old standardized design, on of my players asked if they could get the basic layout of the lodge.

At the time, I couldn't think of any reason why something like that wouldn't be easily accessible so I gave the PCs a basic layout of the lodge, minus the area beyond the secret door.

Could there have been a better way for me to handle that?

Probably best for the GM Discussion Forum, so I'll go ahead and flag this for you ^_^

My spoilered response:
I had the privilege of having the author run this for me, and we asked the same question. "Basic Layout" still has enough variation to not know the exact dimensions, room count and location of everything.

Kind of like a chain of supermarkets. Going into one is similar to the others in that chain: dairy in the back, vegetables to the side, checkouts in the front, similar art style.

Whoops. Thought I was in the GM discussion. Apparently 2:30am isn't a good time for me to be posting things.

Thanks for your response!

Andrew, how you handled it is totally fine! At one point in the draft, I even had Fitch giving the PCs a floorplan of the Lodge, but it didn’t really add much, especially since the morlamaws did some renovation. It can definitely be good to let the party know that the reliquary would have been the records room!
