Is it one or two move actions to reload a weapon?

I've heard some GMs say you need to spend an action to pull out the fresh ammo, then another action to load it into your weapon--and that's assuming it is accessible. God forbit you left it in your pack, necessitating yet another action to open your pack first!

Is this true? Or is all of that stuff included in the single move action?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The reload action says it includes grabbing the ammo, so it only takes one move action provided the ammo is readily accessible (pocket, bandoleer, whatever) and doesn't need to be dug out of a backpack.

Unless stated otherwise, reloading is a move action that includes grabbing ammunition you have readily available.
