That is actually how I fluffed the published "stickybomb grenade" in the Starfinder rulebook to work in my campaign. Gives it a little more utility and the PCs have already used them in a couple cool ways. :)
Just for one example: a foam-based stickybomb grenade makes an excellent fire-suppression tool~
