Hey guys one of my player is going to play a Brawler Snakebite Striker/Strangler in my upcoming campaign but I got a few questions for this combo:
- Does he add all his Sneak Attacks dice on a grapple check for damage/pin his opponent or only his Strangle Sneak Attack dice?
- And if he uses the Strangler feat just after in the same round? Does he do all his Sneak Attack damages twice? That seems strong and a bit cheesy.
Perfect Tommy |
First Round
Grapple No dmg.
Round two
Maintain grapple: Do 2d6 sneak.
Spend swift action: Do sneak dmg again.
Does it seem strong: yes.
Is it strong: Not so bad.
At low levels, grappling usually isn't an optimum choice; easier to kill via hp. At high levels it take quite a lot of optimization to keep up with Monster CMD's; the character becomes a one trick pony.

Thanks for the clear answer! I was afraid because we are really not use to have a grappler at the table unless it’s a monster or cohort with grab (and they tend to be strong). My player will be happy.
