Regional Support Program - Boon Questions

Hi everyone,

So, I'm trying to get some answers regarding the following questions around the RSP boons that have come up since I've gotten the approval. My RVC isn't responding to e-mails, but I suspect that might be because they're traveling, so I'm trying to find out if anybody can answer these questions for me (I'm a newly-minted VA):

1) Are the GM boons tradable?

2) The GM boon states clear instructions on how to credit GMs for tables that they run (scenarios, modules, APs, etc.) However, I'm not sure how to assign credit for the two super-dungeon/modules that fall outside of the standard 16/32/64 page format: Emerald Spire and Thornkeep. The Emerald Spire one is important because I have a GM planning to offer the entire module over the next year, and there's talk of also offering Thornkeep sessions in the near future.

3) Within our general area, we have three to four different stores that offer PFS on a regular basis, and we have some overlap with GMs. Are the GM boons supposed to be treated as "one GM boon per location", or can GMs earn credit on these boons across any location with a Venture Officer that can initial/sign-off on their boon sheet? I am aware that any GM tables at a convention with PFS support cannot count (as they qualify under their own support program), so it would only be a matter of GMs at these game store locations that have been approved for RSP.

Thank you in advance for the advice/feedback. :)

1) I'm not sure if the GM boon is tradeable

2)Since each level of both of those modules is treated as their own module and are less than 16 pages each just treat them as a 16 page module (1 box for each level)

3) If all of those stores events are registered for RSP they can check off boxes each time they GM at any of them. If only your event is RSP registered then only GMing at your event will count. They do not need separate GM boons for each event. I'm not even sure you can have multiple unless they are the 2 different ones so far.

1. I would think not. It's a reward for GM'ing particular games, in the same way as the GM chronicle for each scenario. You can't trade a scenario chronicle. It's signed (initialed) by the relevant VO and it's not appropriate to transfer those signatures to someone who the VO did not see GM at the venue.

edit: misread 2

@Graham is correct on 2 & 3. For 1, it is not tradeable. If the GM wants to trade away their Tier 1 benefit, they can, but the base boon is theirs.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Remember as many of the aspects of RSP are left to your RVC to decide how to implement, it is always best to consult them directly for answers. What some people are doing in one region is not always what is being done in another. This allows for variation based on the unique needs of different areas and support of their goals and efforts for growth, GM encouragement, etc

Yeah, but for boon trading to make sense, it has to be allowed in both the sending and receiving region (if different).

My personal impression was that Tier 2 reward cannot be given/traded (it's a personal reward) and that the Tier 1 reward can, because that's the whole point of it.

Thanks, everyone, and thanks Tonya for checking in!

All of my assumptions seemed to be correct, but I always like to make sure I'm following the rules accordingly. :)
