I really wish they would have--even a blog post would serve to introduce people brand new to Starfinder about Absalom Station, the Starfinder Society, etc. We just started the campaign last week, and a couple of people had almost zero knowledge about the setting.
There's a pretty solid fan written one floating around the boards somewhere. I can't remember where I got it, originally, but it is available here. It's the "Unofficial Guide to Dead suns." I plan on using that when I run it.

They put out a Player's Guide, it's called the Starfinder Core Rulebook. :-)
