Mad Martin's Book of Many Tales

I assume CUP is where to post things like this. When we were kids, we would retell stories from D&D and save them as though they were being told by one man. He was a bard who, in his travels, inspired others by talking. A motivational speaker of sorts, he always pursued more knowledge and wanted to ensure what he was saying was correct.

Because of this, he wound up reading many, many books. The subject never mattered. Having been attuned to the arcane naturally, he thought no harm in using spells to aid in his studies...and then in his travels...and in his daily routines and so in. Through this he became, in the meta, a modest level bard and a high level wizard. A man plagued with obsession for traveling to any realm he could and telling stories whenever the mood struck him.

On occasion, a page or so from one of Martin's books would fall out. The pages span generations and may be found on different planes. One thing is certain though, the pages all come from the same author. Through this, people have compiled "Mad Martin's Book of Many Tales." Some have even claimed to have met the author, and undoubtedly a few may have!

Context is often lost when reading a page or exert from the book. A short example would be:

"I have found that time flows like a river, but only forward. Some can see where it is going better than others. Each plane I visit seems to be a parallel river...the flows of which are all dynamic. This is the lesson I learned after getting too curious about the Shadow plane. Some 20 years had passed while I was there, or so I thought. By the time I got back to the material plane, the drink I ordered earlier in the evening was still cold."

Apologies if this is the wrong board to post on. If you would like to hear more of these I would love to post them for you all!
