alchemical attributes

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi Everybody, i have a question :
What does is mean "alchemical attributes" ?

I try to search in Rules Archive (PRD), looking for definition, i find only one result in "Abundant Ammunition" spell.

Reading the spell text its seams to be an enhancement aquired by an ammo such an arrow, but nothing about what and how.

There is a list or description about a
"alchemical attributes"?

Does Any items create by Alchemy CraftSkill can be considered posses "alchemical attributes" ?

Regards.

Context might help. Can you give us the text in which you encountered the phrase?

Presumably in Abundant Ammunition.

I thought that was what he found when he went to look it up. Presumably something else prompted him to look it up at all? I may be misreading.

Hi guys, thank your replay.

Simply reading to Abundant Ammunition text it was first time i have seen "alchemical attributes".

Seaching in PRD i don't find any definition or category.

So i ask my self if any item crafts with alchemy Craftskill or have "alchemical" word in their itemname "Must" be consider have an "alchemical attributes".

Thank's for any clarifications

Silver Crusade

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head would be the alchemical cartridge type of ammunition, though it's probably talking about the alchemically made arrows that explode and cause bleeding.

Oh, ok. That sentence in abundant ammunition is very poorly written. I believe your interpretation is correct. Basically, they're trying to say that only "plain" ammunition and masterwork "plain" ammo work. It's only a first-level spell, after all.

Hope this helps.

for example :

Alchemical Cartridges: An alchemical cartridge is a prepared bundle of black powder with a bullet or pellets, sometimes with more "exotic" material added, which is then wrapped in paper or cloth and sealed with beeswax, lard, or tallow

A - Paper Cartridge: This simple mix of black powder and either pellets or a bullet increases the misfire value by 1.

B- Entangling Shot Cartridge: This mix of black powder and an alchemically treated resin strong enough to survive the shot can only be loaded into a blunderbuss, a dragon pistol, or other scatter weapon. It deals half damage to those hit by a cone attack made with this weapon, but any creature hit by the shot must succeed at a DC 15 Reflex saving throw or become entangled for 2d4 rounds. An entangling shot cartridge increases the firearm's misfire value by 2.

So Paper Cartridge is a "Plan" ammo, Entangling Shot Cartridge is a "Exotic" ammo

A exemple has not any particular "alchemical attributes" while B exemple has "alchemical attributes"

Right?

Silver Crusade

sounds about right.
