As avr said: the spell itself might be better to look at. Maybe grab a wand or low-grade magic item that has limited uses. Much less expensive. Depending on what you want it for, spellcasting services means ~60 gold for 10 minutes of coverage (no actual math/checking, just 10g* CL 3*SL 2 = 60g). So if you wanted only half an hour, that's an economic option.

is there a known item that creates an orb of darknes around something to prevent the effects of like sunlight powerlessness? I have been unable to find one so far but there are soooo many magic items.
There is the Darklight Lantern, but it cost a bit of alchemical component to keep it running.

You could try a tiny hut. It's immobile and if the caster leaves it it ends, but it has a long duration and could be placed on a wand. Otherwise, it's opaque (from the outside) which should stop sunlight (you can illuminate the interior dimly if you need to see). Additionally, you get total concealment from anyone outside it, so they can't target you. The immobility is the main drawback, but if you need it, it's quick and easy and long-lasting.
Plus, you can color it as you wish, so why not just go for a huge hemisphere of darkness in front of your enemies, so they waste time trying to use [light] spells and such to try and dispel the 'globe of darkness' to no avail.
