Bedir's Init: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

There's actually another +2 to armor since yeah I forgot that Bipeds start with 2 ac...

Ready.

Okay, so we are going to use theater of the mind. You gone through a cave and come into an opening. The opening is 50 feet by 50 feet and the ceiling is 15 feet high. The enemy is 20 feet north of you all and you are both at the sound end, but in the center. 15 feet north and 15 feet east are 5 trees going from north to south and the last 15 feet of the cave on the east side is 23 feet high, 40 feet north and 5 to 15 feet east are three large rocks. 10 feet north and 15 feet west is the edge of a pool of water, is is 15 feet by 15 feet and 15 feet deep.
Heroes are up

I wish to have a description on what magic auras are on the enemy as per Arcane sight. Things like swirling winds, blur, multiple images are very important.

Bedir tries to identify what exactly he is facing.

Relevant knowledge to identify the enemy: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 41

+2 more if it involves dungoeneering, planes, arcana, nature, religion

I want to know what it is, DR first, defenses second, then any spell like abilities it may have.

I am assuming I have line of sight to the enemy?

Bedir begins take a step back, then calls upon the blessings of the great stag, then starts turning the enemy into a pincushion.

Cast quickened divine favour – feel free to AOO if you have combat reflexes and a 25 ft reach

The Concordance

"Bedir, let me know when you find out what this... thing... is! Whatever it is, I pronounce judgement of justice and destruction upon it, in the name of Torag!"

Pronounce judgement, swift action: Destruction (+5 damage) and Justice (+3 attack)

The two heroes move up to the enemy and destroy him with no time flat. 254 damage deal between the two of you and the 5th edition version has 285 HP. You almost killed him if this were 5e (If Vulas had blunt arrows, that would be overkill)
The two heroes saved the town of Chult from the death curse...His body reanimates 10 days later. The curse is still broken though. It says it in the Tomb of annhilation that he just comes back, I assume they would make a sequel.

The Exchange

That's surprisingly little hp - I was watching a 5e game yesterday - the end boss at 9-10 - the dragon had 483 hp - so I was expecting since at CR 15 I'd be dealing with 600 + hp or so.

Then you did give the 40 point buy saying we'd need it so yeah I think I probably overdid it some.

Thanks for the run though!

Dark Archive

Hahaha. Winning initiative was everything here I guess.

The Exchange

That's high level rocket tag for you... Also I really didn't need to tap into forbidden cheese.

Note to self: Do not use the synthesist summoner class.

Anyway he feels lich to me and I don't think we ever found his phylactery so yes he comes back.

*butts head against PaleDim, hoping for a scratch*

I was thinking about this when I was working and I forgot, in 3.5/pathfinder you can't sneak attack undead, while in 5e you can, so really 180 dmg was dealt, still more than what the 3.5 version has. And I even added hit dice, upping the Hp by about 40.

He does appear in tomb of annihilation and tomb of horrors both. Although in the tomb of horrors version he is just a normal demeliche cr 21, in annihilation he has been added powers cr 23. In 5e, if a named creature is in the adventure, his name is listed in the back of the book with the powers. In tomb of horrors his name is mentioned but his stats aren't listed in the back of the book, cause you just look at demeliche in monsters manual, as the word demeliche is highlighted.

The Exchange

Pathfinder you can sneak attack undead. 3.5 you cannot.

Unlike elementals :

An elemental has the following features.

Immunity to bleed, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
Not subject to critical hits or flanking. Does not take additional damage from precision-based attacks, such as sneak attack.
