Graser Starship Weapon Description

Hello!

Having read the Starfinder core Rulebook, I didn't find any descriptions for the starship weapons. I can figure out all thematic for each of them except for the Graser.

It seems like a combination of gravity and laser, with a very short range.

Anyone have any idea what manner of damage this weapon inflicts? Lasers burn, gravity weapons pummel, plasma weapons electrify and burn, etc.

What does a Graser do?

Grasers are a term for gamma ray lasers. Basically it shoots beams of gamma rays. Considering the science is pretty wonky, it can be anything from a super deadly laser beam, something that mass irradiates the target, or goes around blowing up molecules on the target (or a combination of the above) at least in my very limited understanding of gamma rays and grasers in general.

Basically, as Tarik Blackhands says. I've seen them pop up in Sci-Fi fairly commonly as a follow on to laser weapons, Graser or X-ray lasers. Wikipedia has a short article on them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gamma-ray_laser
