So about to hit the first starship combat part of Deadsuns with my players this week so brushing up.
Can anyone tell me what the modifiers section of the ship stat blocks mean.
For instance piloting modifier, does my players pilot get this added on top of their own piloting modifier?

The modifiers are bonuses (or penalties) that the basic ship design and equipment provide for the users of the ship.
The piloting modifier comes from the thrusters that are used on the ship. Better thursters gives better bonuses. This bonus is on top of what is provided by the pilot's rank in piloting. It gets added to all piloting checks.
Science officers can enjoy a bonus because of the Sensors.
