I've heard hydra encounters described as either a walk in the park or a TPK, with little middle ground. This baddie definitely pushes it toward the later.

The Wandering Hogsbane is based on a real-life horror plant.
I don't hike in the woods like I did as a kid anymore. This plant (the non magical one) terrifies me.. lol
