Advice

The title does not sum it up.

Started playing DnD 2.0 about 13 years ago. My DM was very experience and highly skilled in running his campaigns. Thousands of hours into personally made campaigns, artwork, maps, everything. I learned the majority of what I knew before Pathfinders from the man and had some awesome experiences with our group. Over time this events dwindled to zero and we all became adults and went our own ways in life. I'd managed to get in the beginning of a few Pathfinder campaigns hosted by local gaming centers throughout the years.

After about a 4 year lull in table top RPG adventures, I happened into a discord channel of a friend and the conversation was the creation of a homebrew campaign for fun. My interest ignited and within 24 hours I had helped provide resources for a 'slightly less-than-homebrew' campaign. 2 being first timers, 2 hardly experienced, and myself with one other have had any legitimate experience aside from our DM.((Mind you, the ones with little experience obtained that knowledge through the stoner variations of DnD. Not shameful, but not quite the direction we're trying to push))

After a couple sessions of ~4 hours, the complaint was made: "I don't know how much farther I want to go if we're going to have a couple hours of pointless adventuring and then a long winded battle for one encounter." Now I know some of this comes on the DM shoulders, and I took up the responsible roll myself as a ranger in the party to help cut out some of the pointless actions and banter in the name of progression.

So, What I'm trying to find, is something along the lines of what we've started: a Discord oriented campaign. But one that is more structure IE: Committed players, a legit campaign, scheduled sessions, and preferably a community that already has their s$## together for a wholesome experience.

I miss DnD. A LOT. Ever since our first play, I've spent 4-5+ hours a day looking up information on the pathfinder world, character, races, skills, feats, mechanics, spells, companions, campaigns and more. And honestly, I don't have the funds to purchase products and I don't want to have the freedom to build my characters and take my actions without discrepancy. (even though I still try to keep everything within "able to", I don't know enough yet to prevent myself from doing something I normally shouldn't be able to.)

Any links or advice would be appreciated. I've got the fever for the game and with the cold season coming, I'll be looking to invest a LOT of time into things. Thanks in advance.
