Hi so I looked in the starship building and upgrading sections and I don't see anywhere where you can make a weapon mount a turret mount. Can this be done? Specifically, I want to put a turret on a shuttle frame.

By spending 3 BP, the crew can fit a new light weapon mount in any of the aft, forward, port, or starboard arcs with enough free space. By spending 5 BP, the crew can fit a new light weapon mount on a turret that has enough free space. Tiny and Small starships can have only two weapon mounts per arc (and per turret). Medium and Large starships can have only three weapon mounts per arc (and per turret). Huge and larger starships can have only four weapon mounts per arc (and per turret).
Turrets are basically treated like a 5th firing arc rather than an actual device on your ship. You can spend 5 BP and make a new turret light weapon mount on a shuttle. But you can't have more than two weapons on your shuttle's turret "arc".
Is that what that means? I thought it meant if you HAVE a turret mount you can add a light weapon to that turret for 5 bp...
If your ship already has a turret mount, all you'd need to do is pay the BP cost of the weapon itself. If the ship doesn't have any turret mounts, then you have to pay the 5 BP to add one. By "free space," it means the limitation based on the ship's size as indicated in the last sentence.
