Number of creatures an aboleth can enslave

How many could it be? I mean most creatures need to eat a certain amount and drink a certain amount, a change in command is a move action, and last but not least they need to concentrate for a round to maintain control. This definitely adds up over time. Can anyone try and give me a rough estimate of how powerful an aboleth can be?

If you mean via it's dominate monster spell like ability, it only lasts for 16 days, and the aboleth gets 3 a day, so the maximum by that means is 48.

Of course without any supernatural powers at all humans have enslaved millions over the years.
