So. 16 Months Since the Last Errata Document

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Today marks 16 months since the last PFRPG-related errata document was posted online. That's quite a long time.

When will there be more? WILL there be more?

The errata documents typically come out when new print runs of a book happen. I guess there just haven't been any reprints of those books lately.

Dark Archive

This is because of Paizo's amazing ability to order print runs vs predicted sales. They've gotten really good at doing this over the last year. They don't want a number of "out dated" books in their warehouse because they released an errata. Afterwards, everyone is gonna want the new errata'ed books and the old books sit collecting dust. Kinda a catch-.22 in my opinion.

^-^
Ah no, this just means that they are advancing on the path to perfection.

Here's hoping the next set of nerfs isn't a nuke. Or maybe they're waiting before a new book comes out to errata a similar option in previous books to not be as interesting? Who knows.

I'm more worried about the PRD site not being updated for an even longer period of time to accommodate for the released hardcover RPG rulebooks than I am about the inevitable nuke-from-orbit errata. The old Ultimate Equipment wording is still on there...

Maybe, maybe they've learned their lesson about overly heavy handed nerfs and invalidating large swaths of people's books for the sake of PFS, and how it's not worth the anger generated in your customer base.

Well I can dream anyway.

This, pretty much. They are still doing FAQs though.

Don't worry, it'll be there once PaizoCon 2016 is finished.

Note as of 5/19/2016: The errata released for the second printing of Ultimate Equipment has not yet been added. This update is expected to be available after our annual convention, PaizoCon, held May 27-30, 2016.
