Arrow Erruption and Spleen Explotion

Advice

So, I have only every really built one archer and I didn't even play the character. But, I was looking into an archer build around a 2nd level spell I plan on getting access to through either wands or a wondrous item, Arrow Eruption.

Arrow Eruption:

Arrow Eruption
School conjuration (creation); Level ranger 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (arrow or crossbow bolt)
Range long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Area 30-ft.-radius burst
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance yes
Description: You create exact duplicates of the arrow or crossbow bolt you used to kill a creature in the previous round and launch one at enemy creatures within a 30-foot radius of the corpse. You can target one creature per caster level (maximum 15) within range of the burst and must make a single attack roll and apply it to each arrow. These duplicate arrows possess all the intrinsic magical properties of the arrow that killed the original creature as well as those passed on to it by your bow. They also enjoy the full benefit of any bonuses or modifiers you applied to the attack from other magical items, feats, and class or racial features. However, this spell cannot reproduce any spells or other limited-use magical effects that you used to enhance that particular attack. This includes such effects as the true strike spell, as well as any area spell you might have placed on the arrow by means of the arcane archer’s imbue arrow class feature.

I know it is kind of a niche build but just think of the look on a DM's face the first time you drop this into a crowd of mooks. So, what I need is a list of the feats, magic items, class and racial features that I can stack on this killer arrow.

Why via item? An eldritch archer magus can gain access to this via spell blending, and a ranger or eldritch scoundrel rogue already has the spell on their list. Arrowsong minstrel bards can gain it via their arcane archery ability. Some characters using the arcane archer or eldritch knight PrCs could cast it. Samsaran mystic past life abusers could get it as any arcane or divine caster.

A list of everything which could conceivably apply is going to be very long. It does look as though the named bullet spell and the bullseye shot feat would not work but most other likely buffs will. If you want to narrow down what kind of archer you want to play, possibly meaning the non-spellcaster implied in your post above, and the level where you might start using it, that would help.

Your main problem with the sort of build your eyeing is that you're only going to be able to fire off 1 arrow at each enemy creature within 30 feet of the corpse, and that's assuming you have a high enough CL to target all of them. For a single arrow to be effective, you're going to need features like bane, or a ranger's preferred enemy and terrain bonuses, and then you'll need all those very specific conditions to all line up amongst a swarm or mob. I think you'd end up finding it to be spotty at best.

However, that being said, you can still utilize the wand in another build like a zen archer build, otherwise a that spell is on the ranger's spell list to be taken. If you wanted to go with something like the zen archer build, just make sure you keep UMD maxed out. The wand itself with say 15 charges on it (because no need for a full 50 as you'll never being in that many situations where you'll be able to fully utilize the spell) and say a CL of 5 would cost 2250 gold, or 4500 gold for a CL 10 with 15 charges. For 20 charges the wand with CL 5 and CL 10 would cost 3000 and 6000 gold each, respectively. But remember, with a zen archer you're already doing 2 attacks at lvl 1 with your flurry, and at lvl 6 you have 3 attacks, 4 at lvl 8, and 5 at lvl 11, and eventually maxing out at 7 attacks without using any ki.

Personally though, if it were my build, I'd just go with a human zen archer, and let the group spell caster throw haste on you for an extra attack with your flurry, and maybe carry around a wand of gravity bow for extra damage.

This would work great with slaying arrows.

Would an arcane archer be allowed to use this for his arrows of death

So, I was thinking just going with a Zen Archer and using UMD but it feels like I wouldn't get the most out of the spell so I was considering some dips to get additional bonuses to damage or other cool attachments to the arrows. Maybe after the 6 levels of Zen Archer that seem pretty much required I can start dipping into Slayer or Ranger? Sorry I know this is super vague but it is all I have at this point.

Samsaran inquisitor (with mystic past life), banes his bow to whatever needs to be slaying and next turn casts arrow eruption and the bane applies to all the mooks in the vicinity that that share the bane?

At high level maybe use widen spell to make 60 feat radius burst

Zen archers have real problems with UMD. They have 4 stats they want to invest in more than Int or Cha and they don't usually have a hand free - dropping an expensive wand (4500 gp @CL 3 unless you can get a partially charged wand) to shoot again is a bit nerve-wracking.

A ranger can use the wand without UMD at least, even as a 1-level dip. The guide archetype is useful for giving you a floating +2 attack/damage if you don't like favored enemy. A vanara has useful stat mods (+2 dex, wis, -2 cha) and their tail can take the wand after use.

This is also one of those odd corner-cases where vital strike may be useful. Something like ZAM 6 / ranger 1-2 / weapon master fighter X would give useful bonus damage and feats to support combining the feat-hungry archery and vital strike styles.
