Single player Wrath of the Righteous?

Wrath of the Righteous

So, I'm an experienced Pathfinder player, but I've never DM'ed (I've run some narrative no-dice campaigns on IRC, though). I have a friend who's never played D&D and is curious about it. As big groups intimidate me to start DM'ing, and she's also intimidated by playing with more people at the start, I've thought about running a single player campaign.

As an adventure path, the themes on Wrath of the Righteous appeal both of us, but of course it's designed for a larger party. Has anyone here ran WotR for a single player, or a reduced party? Any advice to share? More money, GMNPCs, different stat blocks for combat encounters?

Thanks in advance!

It seems like you will be having to do a lot of work as a DM to try to change this campaign for a single player. Part of the problem is that this is a very complex campaign to be a character in. Mythic makes for so many options it is like extra rules heavy pathfinder. For a new player, I would be very concerned about turning them off of roleplaying by having everything be exceedingly complicated. It might be a better idea to start off with a module or one shot adventure set in the worldwound confronting demons rather than jumping into one of the most complicated APs both to run and to play in.

Just leaving this here. I did it single player and we both loved it but my player was controlling a party of 7 (his character and another 6 npcs - which had to be leveled and given mythic levels and that took crazy time) and it was challenging even then. That said he loved the story and considers it one of the most epic campaigns ever. So good experience overall. But its not easy.
