NEW CHARACTER!

11-17, the gladiator Nobody remembers - N SRO soldier 2 (gladiator, hit-and-run)

Read the sad tale of 11-17, the antiquated robot gladiator that Nobody remembers. Take 11-17 home to your campaign, and bear witness over the next few levels as Nobody rises to fame.

Includes the new SRO race and gladiator theme.

Poor guy! I wanna give him a hug! :(

NEW CHARACTER!

Powell Jones, the best alcoholic private eye and serial adulterer to ever live - NG astrozoan operative 20 (scholar, detective)

This character was inspired by really messed up Pathfinder paladins, Jessica Jones (Marvel superhero), Rick Decard (scifi movie bounty hunter/detective), and Sherlock Holmes (classic literature detective). Powell Jones shows just what a high-level operative is really capable of--and also reveals that even the best of us can be totally laid low by mental health issues.

Let me know what you think! :D

NEW CHARACTER!

Buckaroo, lively explorer and thrill seeker - CG bantrid operative 6/soldier 1 (tempered pilgrim, thief)

Buckaroo was born of a mental exercise in which I tried to determine "how fast can we go?" Turns out you can easily hit 100 feet by 7th-level, and at least 130 feet by 16th-level. :D

I kept him relatively low level to make him more accessible to players, but I really wish I had a little more space to fill him out with more movement-themed feats and abilities like Jet Dash, Sky Jockey, Uncanny Pilot, and others--and I highly recommend those for anyone who plays him to higher levels. At even higher levels, Improved Uncanny Mobility and Versatile Movement (climb and swim at least 80 feet!) would turn him into a veritable Sonic the Hedgehog, essentially able to run across water or up walls and along ceilings before gravity can really pull him down again.

I also wanted to get him a grapple to use with his cable lined sword cane, but didn't have the funds for it at this level (at least, not without sacrificing more important items). Not only would it allow him to scale various obstacles more easily, I can totally imagine Buckaroo throwing it into a pole, then circling an enemy while trailing his cable line to trip them up or tie them to the pole--all without provoking! :D

NEW CHARACTER!

Rowan Mouri; cult leader, mortal avatar, and bringer of the end of times - Damaya lashunta mystic 17 of Nyarlathotep (priest, mindbreaker)

Inspired by the Joker of the DC universe as well as several sources from H.P. Lovecraft, Rowan Mouri is set to act as a campaign's wild card or as a "behind-the-scenes" super villain for the end game.

As an aside, with this addition the gallery now covers all of the core classes, a great many of the earlier races, all twenty levels, and a wide range of other numerous options and themes throughout the game. :D

Hope you guys find use for it all! I hope to provide much more in the future! :)

NEW CHARACTER!

LK-4D4; amnesiac gladiator and assassin - Android soldier 11 (bombard)

Inspired by the cyborg ninja, Cyrax from Mortal Combat, and Robocop, LK-4D4 is an extremely lethal hand-to-hand combatant and explosives expert. Formerly a human soldier, the amnesiac LK-4D4 was reincarnated as an android and now fights as a popular gladiatorial combatant on Akiton, while occasionally serving his greedy overseers as an assassin.

LK-4D4 is capable of throwing damaging nyfiber nets that entangle as well as hinder foes in a variety of other ways, allowing him to close in and deliver punishing unarmed strikes that either leave his opponents bleeding out or with lasting physical trauma. Not only can he hurl grenades effectively, he can even blow himself up with embedded explosives in order to kill those who prove especially troublesome in melee combat!

I hope you enjoy finding a place for him in your games!

  • Darrow - Slight gear changes; now owns a motorcycle
  • Kargan Yautja - New character art
  • Madame Karina - New archetype and gear; more augmentations, less offensive power, more sneaky; now has several uniform disguises
  • Nossk - Major gear changes; better powered armor, less armor duration
  • Setsuna Blaine - Gear changes; now has "shockboxer gauntlets" and athletic shockboxing outfit
  • Skai Lorian - Major gear changes; loads of new skill skits and rifle accessories

And don't forget to take a look at the new character, LK-4D4, who also has much of the new content incorporated into his character.

Please check back again as there may well be more such updates in the near future as I find out what kinds of things work well and what doesn't make the cut.

NEW CHARACTER!

Wan Shi Tong - N astrazoan dream prophet mystic 9 (empath)

Wan Shi Tong is powerful transmuter and empath with no memory of his origins, or even of who or what he really is. He continually seeks the galaxy for answers to his past, as well as answers in general.

His empathic abilities allow him to communicate with almost any creature that has a language, making him a valuable asset as a linguist to any expedition seeking out intelligent new life and alien cultures.

However, due to his lack of a real identity to call his own, Tong instead psychologically mirrors much of what he senses in the people around him—an instinctual trait which is reinforced by his empathic powers. For example, when traveling with dangerous brigands, Tong tends to act rashly, event violently. When traveling with peaceful pilgrims, however, he is far more calm, and devoted to protecting the group during its pilgrimage. Whatever his companions, he remains contemplative, and ever inquisitive about the universe around him.

NEW CHARACTER!

Zero, death ooze tech specialist - N selamid mechanic 7 (drone)

Zero was born of the question, "What might DC Comic's Mister Freeze be like in Starfinder?" From that simple question, a unique and interesting character was born! :D

Lost in the drift and forced to witness multiple horrific tragedies Zero, once an idealistic young selamid looking to know more about the greater galaxy, is now as gelid as his traumatically stunted emotions.

NEW CHARACTER!

Marah Tiferi, militant xenodruid and Wildknight squire - NG damaya lashunta xenodruid mystic 4/soldier 2 of the Green Faith

A mystic and spiritualist of the Green Faith, Marah channels nature magic in her unending quest to protect the sanctity of the wilds. She is also a scientist who sees in the study of alien life-forms the chance to greatly advance knowledge and make new medical discoveries, and who fears the ecological impact of unscrupulous mining and bioharvesting operations. Because of this fear, she has also spent many years training to become a Wildknight of the Green Faith, an environmentalist warrior trained in the use of biological powered armor.

NEW CHARACTER!

Sonic, mobian rebel fighter and speedster - CG ysoki outlaw operative 9/soldier 1 (daredevil, blitz)

Sonic is the self-proclaimed “fastest mobian alive.” He lives for speed, whether through his own locomotion, or that of whatever vehicle he happens to be piloting. A true daredevil, Sonic lives for the constant adrenaline rush that only raw speed and a daring life full of dangerous stunts can provide. He also possesses a strong sense of justice and is always fighting to protect his home and his loved ones. Sonic possesses a short temper and, like many young ysoki, can be a little bit unstable at times. Even so, he is revered by his people as a remarkable hero who will do whatever it takes to save the day from the tyrannical deprivations of his planet’s dictator, a mad alien conqueror who now rules over their world with an iron fist and an army of robotic slaves.

Jynx, the Loose Cannon - CN feychild gnome outlaw soldier 12 (bombard, shock and awe)

"Volatile explosives are a girl’s best friend!"

A manic and impulsive criminal from a Vast planet called Runeterra, Jinx lives to wreak havoc without care for the consequences. With an arsenal of deadly weapons, she unleashes the loudest blasts and brightest explosions to leave a trail of mayhem and panic in her wake. Jinx despises boredom, and gleefully brings her own chaotic brand of pandemonium wherever she goes.

NEW CHARACTER!

R.U.I.N., deadly computer virus made animate - CE SRO death-touched mystic 10 (devastator)

"I was given life so that I may deliver death."

A deadly Corpse Fleet hybrid computer virus turned nanite swarm turned SRO, R.U.I.N. was created for one simple purpose: Snuff out the living to provide more bodies for the Corpse Fleet. Unlike other mystics, R.U.I.N.'s powers aren't divine in origin, and instead represent its ability to alter the environment around it through the use of an invisible nanite cloud that constantly permeates and surrounds it. Locked into its current physical form by canny Vercite scientists, R.U.I.N. now seeks a way to return to its original, more ruinous immaterial form by any means possible.

Tactics: When forced into combat, R.U.I.N. has a wide variety of options available to it. Prior to combat, R.U.I.N. can use its frailty pistol to grant itself and its minions 9 temporary hit points, in addition to the various buff spells it is able to cast on itself. It is also likely to set up the battlefield in advance with spells such as control atmosphere and fog cloud (using seeking shot to avoid concealment penalties) or abilities such as disquieting nanites if given the opportunity. During combat, R.U.I.N. can harry foes with debuff and damage spells and attacks while relying on its minions and other allies to hold the line, or it can join the fray itself with abilities such as blood mark and destructive frenzy to buff its martial capabilities. Out of combat, R.U.I.N.'s skills allow it to easily assassinate or sabotage through the use of compromised computers and technology.

What does r.u.i.n. stand for though?

CHARACTER UPDATE

The corporate overlord, Cid, has replaced his Longarm Proficiency feat and spy drones with the Close Combat feat, several weapon accessories for his rifle, and an opalescent white pyramid aeon stone, which grants him proficiency in the rifle even without the feat.

I considered similar changes to free up feats for a few other characters, but it ultimately didn't feel like it fit the character concept, or there simply wasn't enough room in the starting character budget for it.

Cid, on the other hand, did seem like someone who would use his wealth to gain power. Furthermore, he's one of the few who actually has the resources to conceivably get his hands on Azlanti Star Empire tech in the first place.

NEW CHARACTER!

Sheeva, honorable chieftain of the shobhad'neh - LN female shobhad operative 12 (explorer)

"You were a worthy opponent."

A former jailer and bodyguard turned politician and tribal chieftain widely feared for her formidable martial arts and reputation for crushing all opposition beneath her feet.

Tactics: Capable of great leaps through the air, Sheeva prefers to initiate combat by leaping atop her enemies, crushing them under her massive weight. This is traditionally done using her advanced tetrad rings in combination with her Pistol Whip ability to deal unarmed strike damage with her trick attacks. Combined with her feats and class abilities, she can cover a substantial distance, come crashing down atop her foe from nearly 40 feet above, knocking them prone with knee shot, then leaping away again to relative safety, all without ever provoking an attack of opportunity (from the target or anyone else). Against extremely powerful enemies, she is a bit more cautious, relying on her advanced tetrad rings to throw blasts of force at her enemies from cover, attempting to knock them out of their own cover with her weapon's critical push property as she does so.

How you could get anything that large 40 feet in the air is a feat unto itself. Well done.

NEW CHARACTER!

Galena, pistolero spell slinger and researcher of the Akashic Record - LG female contemplative xenoarchaeologist technomancer 11

"Desist abominable malefactor or be perforated!"

Galena has an odd personality, often thinking out loud and repeating the same phrases multiple times in a row. A hyper-intellectual, her communication and personal deficiencies evidence a mentality pushed near to a mild form of insanity by information-overload. Nevertheless, Galena’s goal in life is to gain ultimate knowledge. This drives her to find a way to link herself to the collective knowledge of every sentient species that ever lived that’s held in the Akashic Record, an Astral library of perfect psychic records of every moment in history. To that end, Galena has recently joined the Transcendent Cortex, a fringe group of contemplatives that have embraced technology and whose advocates dedicate themselves to digitizing their minds to finally exceed the limitations of the flesh. She believes that if she can overcome the weakness of form and evolve into an immortal entity, such as the machine-god Triune, she might one day be able to achieve her goal of becoming omniscient.

Tactics: Wielding her prized djezet injector pistol with which she both fires poisoned darts and channels her spells, Galena is not the most skillful gunslinger in the Pact Worlds, but she is nevertheless capable of performing numerous unique trick shots others only dream about.

Galena generally uses her Agile Casting and Shot on the Run feats to stay behind cover, while laying down fire and maintaining her mobility. Against heavily fortified enemies, she might rely on her Seeking Shot or Spell Shot abilities to angle attacks and spells around barriers while using Empowered Weapon and supercharge weapon to really make those attacks count. When stealth is called for, she relies on invisibility and summoned creatures (sometimes invisible summoned creatures) to harry and distract foes. If her foes can see invisible creatures, she may instead rely on fog cloud, blindsense, and Seeking Shot. She might also use summons in that instance to mislead foes in the fog. While fighting alongside allies, she starts combat by casting haste, opening up additional tactical opportunities for the party. She uses digital doorway to teleport between allied com units and other computer devices, as needed, to ensure she is always where she needs to be to help win the day.

Outside of combat, she is a competent artificer, infiltrator, scout, trap spotter (and trap disarmer), hacker, scholar, and saboteur. In starship combat, she can easily fill any role save captain (her arrogant and offputting personality does not lend itself well to leading others).

So I've been working on my own version of Polyras Ghalraan to an extent. IDK if you would want to, but he works great as a dwarf, since they get a bonus to Con and Wis and Cha isn't a necessary part of the build, plus they are proficient with all advanced melee weapons and get weapon specialization at 3rd level from racial abilities. The only problem is the 20 ft movement but can be fixed with the fleet feat and/or jet dash feat.

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber; Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Cool! I've been meaning to make a dwarf at some point. Their abilities are just too good to pass up.

NEW CHARACTER!

Penelope Adams, Corporate Agent and Hacker - CG female human robotocist mechanic 5 (drone artificial AI, Starfinder data jockey)

"I hate mysteries. They bug me. They need to be solved."

Penelope is an intelligent, ambitious, hard-working, and tech-savvy woman who is highly confident in her computer skills. Though she doesn’t go looking for trouble, she is also not one to back away from danger, particularly when there is a mystery waiting to be solved. Aside from her natural talents and developed skills, Penelope’s most prominent attributes are her capacity for compassion, kindness, and trust.

When not managing corporate affairs from behind her computer, Penelope often spends her time traveling the Pact Worlds and beyond looking out for her current corporation’s interests. She might be overseeing the protection of corporate secrets, on the lookout for new talent, performing clandestine reconnaissance on rival operations, or investigating alien ruins or civilizations that could bring her shareholders new sources of revenue.

Penelope relies heavily on her self-defense drone for combat support (keeping the focus off of her) while she lays down debuffs such as distracting hack (with improved feint), the incompetence spell, and overload. Outside of combat, she really shines as a face, facilitator, hacker, linguist and tech specialist. She also excels at nearly every starship role.

Formerly a summerborn ryphorian, now a pahtra.

Since pahtra have darkvision as a racial trait, I traded in the character's standard darkvision capacitors for a deadly eye laser. Lost the kip up feat though. Traded Piloting ranks for Profession (con artist) to maximize the Pahtra's racial bonuses.

CHARACTER UPDATES

Several characters have been updated to utilize new material from Alien Archive II and Signal of Screams #1.

Chistori Hammertail - former fighting slave, martial arts grand master, and Veskarium war hero

Switched out the Greater Iron Will feat for the Steel Nerves feat from Signal of Screams #1. This doubles her bonus against fear effects and reduces their impact upon her. Not really an upgrade, but better fits the character concept I think.

Powell Jones - astrazoan private eye, occult specialist, and serial adulterer

Switched out his scholar theme for the paranormal investigator theme from Signal of Screams #1. His new theme abilities better match what he was always meant to be. New grizzled character art.

Rowan Mouri - damaya lashunta fugative, murderous psychopath, and cult leader

Now has nightmare, paranoia, and shadow body on his list of spell's known from Signal of Screams #1 in place of slow, augury, and greater synaptic pulse, respectively. These spells are fat too thematic for a crazy psychopathic cult leader. They will help to shore up his defenses and allow him to torture and break the wills of people from anywhere on the same plane.

Sonic - alien ysoki from the Vast, augmented freedom fighter, and speedster

Switched out his Improved Initiative feat (does anybody really need a +18 to initiative?) for the Indirect Retreat feat from Signal of Screams #1. Now, whenever he runs as a full action, he doesn’t have to move in a straight line, can run across difficult terrain, and doesn’t gain the flat-footed condition. He pretty much never need double move again. Switched out his outlaw them for the colonist them from Against the Aeon Throne #1. Not as mechanically good, but let's face it, Outlaw is overused, and it better fits his "from a backwater world" background.

Wan Shi - enigmatic and elusive astrazoan psychic transmuter

Now with even more shapechanging options thanks to the new Polymorph rules from Alien Archive II; complete with statistics for 12 unique forms.

CHARACTER UPDATE

Char - corrupted half elf borai boogie man

Char is now suffering from shadow corruption, though as far as he is concerned, it is a blessing that has caused him to become tougher than ever. This provides a host of benefits and drawbacks. It grants him DR, fast healing, rerolls, and defenses against mind-affecting effects. It also reduces his maximum hit points, increases the damage he takes, makes him vulnerable to good-aligned and silver weapons, and puts him at risk of becoming an NPC velstrac upon his death.

The new shadow corruption rules from Signal of Screams #1 were practically tailor made for this character.

I've also added some additional character art, showing Char as he was before he became the monster that he is today (and what he might look like while disguised).

Kross So, degenerate gangster and former crime lord - N male corrupted venerable human dragonblood envoy 10

"Hold still that fiery spit of hope! You may have the spirit of a dragon within you, detective, but you aren’t going to be long for this world."

A lunatic obsessed with the fearsome legacy of dragon kind, Kross is a manipulative, narcissistic, thrill seeker. Former head of the So crime family of the Golden League on Bretheda and ex-husband to the infamous crime boss, Madame Karina, Kross is now a broken old man with a lost legacy. When Karina sabotaged his space yacht, causing it to crash into a hillside at mach two, Kross did what was expected of him: he died.

Kross is all about intimidation and terror, using his substantially unsettling presence of his reconstituted form to unnerve his many enemies into making costly mistakes. He is host to numerous abilities and features that allow him to debuff foes easily, and for extended periods of time.

Slayn, Azlanti defector and cyber crime detective - LG male gosclaw robotocist mechanic 5 (drone artificial AI)

"There’s a dark underbelly to the infosphere: the darksphere. You can find anything on the darksphere. Drugs, guns, hitmen, anything at all; it’s all there for anyone unscrupulous enough to take advantage of it."

Slayn is an intelligent, ambitious, hard-working, and tech-savvy young gosclaw who escaped the Azlanti Empire by stowing away on a departing ship. Though he wasn’t particularly oppressed, he wished to see other worlds, and to make a better life for himself than what the Empire could offer him. He ultimately made his way to Absalom Station, where he formally defected to the Pact Worlds and spent many of his initial years proving he wasn’t an Azlanti spy.

Slayn now spends much of his time working as a detective with the Stewards, putting his computing skills to work to catch cyber criminals on the darksphere; a discreet version of the infosphere used for numerous nefarious criminal activities. His extreme intellect and technical skills long ago made him a valued asset to the Stewards. Though many would consider his level of talent to be a high priced commodity, and he could make a great living for himself offering his services as a corporate hacker; Slayn cares far more about using his abilities to help protect the citizens of his adopted home.

CHARACTER UPDATE

Madame Karina - Dropped the cardiac accelerator and adjusted the signal jammer from level 15 to level 13 in order to take advantage of the new adaptive fingerprints and detoxifier from Signal of Screams #2.

This gives her the ability to not leave fingerprints behind and to mimic the fingerprints of others (great for infiltration jobs or frame jobs). She also gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Fortitude saves against diseases, drugs, poisons, and radiation; is immune to addiction; and can reroll a save against poison (taking the higher result) once per day.

When stacked with her other bonuses and her Stalwart ability, she can basically just brush off anything that might adversely affect her internal health.

They're designed as PCs, not NPCs mind you, but nevertheless, I'm thrilled to hear that you're enjoying them!

I have seen the biohacker and the vanguard so far, but have not found the time to read the witchwarper class yet. I had intended to stat something up with the new classes, but alas, the holidays happened. I have yet to find the time to get back into it since.

Someday soon I trust.
