[SPOILERS] Quest: Into the Unknown enhancement query

I'm putting together some art, using images from the PDF, the Core Rulebook, and things I've gathered online to enhance the experience.

So far, I have NPC images for Venture-Captain Arvin, Julzakama, Exegara Long-Tongue, the Endless Threnody, the Endless Threnody's skeleton crew, and the Lawblight.

I have an image that I will use for the skreebara if I can't find a better one, but it's literally just a picture I found online of a basilisk from WoW.

The description of the Large magical beast is "14-foot-long burrowing beast with six powerful legs. Its carapace is made of thick reflective crystal and it bears enormous mandibles that thrum with sonic energy.

Has anyone found art that would suit the monster better than what I've already found?

The Skreebara is said to resemble the Ankheg. Check the Pathfinder Bestiary and also here for pictures of that.

There is actually a picture of it on Page 20 of the adventure. Lots of big teeth!

That's actually not the skreebara. It's a piece of appropriate half-page art from the Core Rulebook that roughly matched the flavor of the scene. Alas, due to art constraints on this scenario, the skreebara doesn't have any specific art. So you're free to fill in with whatever you deem appropriate, or play off of 'theater of the mind'.

Whaaa'???? That's too bad. Every time I ran that quest at GenCon I showed that picture!

Yeah. I knew the picture was just a thematically appropriate piece, because the text description doesn't match at all:

"The skreebara is a 14-foot-long burrowing beast with six powerful legs. Its carapace is made of thick reflective crystal and it bears enormous mandibles that thrum with sonic energy."

I'm currently using an image of a basilisk from World of Warcraft, because it has six powerful legs and things that look like crystals on its back. But an ankheg with a crystalline carapace and modified mandibles would likely be closer. If I have time, maybe I'll work up something like that.

Oh, and there's also the Ankhrav, which is a redesign and renaming found in the Pathfinder Campaign Setting, Belkzen, Hold of the Orc Horde. That does look to fit the description pretty well.

The ankhrav is pretty much perfect. I found the digital render of a mini for it from one of the May 2016 blogs. I'm using that and adding a kind of crystal effect to its carapace, so I can use it to make my homemade pawn.

Thanks for the tip!
