is there seriously a space museum?

How could the Blakros have survived that long? that must be one of the greatest mysteries (or perhaps the actual cause of) the GAP.

I figure there must be an entire faction of the Pathfinder->Starfinder Society who's only job is keeping the Blakros Museum from destroying itself and/or the Multiverse.

But Yeah, Definitely cannot wait to explore it!!!!

Considering how the Blakros got so powerful in the first place (*cough* spoilers), it's not that hard to believe.

By having wave after wave of adventurers die and looting their stuff?

The real question of the GAP is why does the AI, Neuro Interface Guided Explorer and Librarian, for the museum talk in a slightly nasally voice and keep glitching?

The Blackros museum is a beloved locale in the PFS and even if they don't have a particularly good reason for a space version to exist, I think the setting would be lacking something without it. I love the idea of either Nigel still being around due to maybe some age-defying magic, or perhaps his conscious was transferred into an android body or AI computer. Could be his reward for decades of loyal service to the family.

Would you want to be working for my crazy family for that long?

It is powered by the souls of dead adventurers.

I'm hoping we will provide some locations and organizations as ubiquitous as the Blakros Museum. In fact, I think there's already some pretty big plot threads that players are latching onto!

The new release was not as good as Master of Muffins, but it was on par with Ride the Lemoncurd.

If Strawberry Machine Cake doesn't play an integral part in the first retirement arc, I will be deeply disappointed.

I'm kind of inclined to think this myself... punishment for all of the fiascos at the museum under his care....

Nigel is around, now as a very well-aged elf, but thanks to the Gap, has no memory whatsoever of all the shenanigans that happened with the Pathfinder Society...

I'm telling you guys...

Nuke it from orbit, it's the safest way...

I might be the minority here, but i would prefer to see starfinder building their own background instead of filling it with cheap knock-offs and insider jokes based on existing pathfider lore.

Silver Crusade 5/5 5/55/5 **** Venture-Captain, Germany—Bavaria

I am not too thrilled to see the Blakros museum in space, partly because I want to Starfinder to have a fresh start unburdened by all the old content.

We already get new promising story content, and I would rather see them exploring those than revisiting old stuff.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 ** Venture-Lieutenant, Netherlands—Leiden

Will there be running gags recurring villains cherished places we return to again and again? Sure. Those are fun.

Should they be so persistent as to be from beyond the Gap? Nah.

Scarab Sages 5/5 5/5 *** Venture-Captain, Netherlands

I want a pregen special scenario, like we be goblins, but then in the blackross museum. That way you can decide to play it if you want to, but it wont have any effect on the story line.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 ***

Don't mind the nay-sayers Thursty, I'm sure there is room somewhere in Absalom Station for the new Blackros Museum displaying the finest taxidermy this side of the drift and no shortage of Tian crockery. :-)

Scarab Sages 2/5 5/55/55/55/5

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the inside of the Museum technically an extra-dimensional space?

So wherever Golarion might be, you could still get to the Museum, and part of it might just show up in the Drift...

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Agent, Nebraska—Omaha

That's the best idea yet. The Blackroses may have moved on to higher value corporate endeavors, no longer needed a place to dump poor Nigel, but what a wonder it would be to encounter a traveling exhibit whilst traversing the Drift.

I think it is in teh best interest of teh SFS to push the Blakros Museum and the entire family into the nearest black hole. Maybe twice to make certain.

I'm sure this will reduce the number of extraplanar invasions by at least 80%.

Of course there is a Blakrose Museum. It has always been there. At least as far back as to the Gap.

Move along

Grand Lodge 3/5

If Aldain hasn't been replaced by that "thing" from Silvermount Collection, i'll be disappointed.

Scarab Sages 1/5

I think it would be interesting to see what the museum has morphed into over the intervening years. It's reasonable to think that the place, instead of a fun happy-time museum to take the kids, would now be a secure storage facility for all sorts of world-ending things that are far too dangerous to be left in the public's hands.

...especially since that is what it seems like it always was (unofficially) to begin with.

I look forward to Nigel's head in a jar, right next to the floating head of Drendle Drang!

First thing I said after the intro to the first SFS adventure I played at GenCon was, "It's only been 10,000 years. Is Drendle Drang still around?"

I am highly amused by the, no less than, five distinct spellings of the family name in this thread.

But then, I'm easily amused.

As the OP, my spelling is authoritative for this thread. It may not be how PFS spelled it, but that’s the archaic spelling, from back before the Gap. Mine is the modern post-Gap spelling.
