I'm glad folks liked it. It seemed an atmospheric game.
If you want, I'm willing to answer any game questions (story, mechanics, whatever)--however spoilery--(in spoiler tags of course) you may have. I trust folks to know the difference between character and player knowledge.
Also, I'm busy the back end of this week, but should have everyone's (and I do mean everyone's) chronicle sheets out by Sunday at the latest.
I still haven't heard back from customer service. Was it something I said? ;)

Thanks for stepping in and doing such a great job TWMIGM! Without you, this scenario would literally gone nowhere.
Thanks to all the players, too.
Remind me to never get on Remmy's bad side...or let him get on my unprotected side.
Shall we try to get the band back together when we're all high enough level for the follow up scenario?

I stand corrected. I got an email; they fixed the threads today. And in the future the person who fixed (not the other two people) says that I should explain what I want... like I did... three times.... Maybe, I should do it in all caps next time? I'm crying.

Glad you had fun. The low tier party should be called Noah's Ark or the Pet Shop Boys or something. I thought we were playing old school Palladium Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles there for a moment.
So was everyone scared by the roomful of ghouls (the high tier party--or as I call them the Leaping Lizards, had 13 ghouls and fetrogs in that room). It's a classic Gygax room filled with 44 trolls and a treasure chest.
Give me a heads up when you all (or at least those of you who are interested) are somewhere between levels 3 and 5ish or 5 and 7ish and we can schedule a return voyage. Part two for those of you who missed it is The Labyrinth of Hungry Ghosts (tier 3-7), while part three is Hrethnar's Throne (tier 5-9).

Hah, its funny you say that about the party. I'm playing in a home game of Skull and Shackles that has a party consisting of a Tengu, a catfolk, a kitsune, a ratfolk, a gripli, and a homebrew otter-folk race.
Thanks for running! It was great fun!

As much as I'd love to, I've already played labyrinth of hungry ghosts from when I first started playing PFS, and I don't currently have any more replays to burn until we get our story update recharges that I can fill. :(
Borox |
Borox hits L5 with this adventure. He isn't doing much so, I would be happy to join an adventuring group for part two and then part three. Just let me buy a pile of Burst of Radiance scrolls before we go!
Lumo Seme |
What a fun game! I'm thrilled to do the sequels as well!
Spoilery question (s): What was the trigger for the witch trap? Could we have avoided it? Also, what CR was the ghoul king?
And a special shout out to you, GM, for taking us on! I'm so glad this game happened!
Kahwen |
Given the species involved we could have been called "Lumo and His Lunch."
I'm holding this character (he's my main PBP character) free for Race for the Rune Carved Key, next and he'll need another adventure under his belt before he's high enough level to do the next adventure.
Probably going to have to get the stars to align just right to get a repeat group due to scheduling.
Then again, we do have a certain copper sphere...
Lumo Seme |
Gah! I just looked and I'm scheduled to play the second one as part of another group.
Also, Lumo believes birds are friends, not food. ;)

Hey, we all lay eggs the same, right?
I guess well have to mount a CORE expedition to the site. ;)
No worries, there are always other games. I don't have much planned for the new year right now except a standard mode Confirmation (tier 1-2) game starting sometime in mid/late January. I probably won't be able to return to the Gloomspires until later in the spring, so there is some time.
The World's Most Interesting GM |
Haven't seen anything about it really for players yet. Just a lot of dead links or links that lead nowhere I particularly want to go.
That and I'm not really interested in GMing in these things aside from the occasional bit of GM heroics. You can't really be a rebel when you are a part of the establishment, and there should always be some rebels.

Yeah! Tier 4-5 is officially finished. I'm still on-track for delivering chronicles this sunday. Post your questions here.
Raynor Cordite |
Or at least, can you note on my chronicle sheet that I am using 10 Disrepute to purchase the Ship Vanity? Thank you!
I also want a ship for 10 pts. of disrepute. Garrapata is this from field guide or from chronicles?
Prof. Alkarion |
You get it from the Skull and Shackles chronicles. The chronicles award you Disrepute and tell you what you can spend it on.
Raynor Cordite |
Pathfinder Society Field Guide says 10 PP - please deduct 10 PP from my chronicle sheet so as to acquire the Ship vanity.

You also gain it from the 'Plunder and Peril' module.
The World's Most Interesting GM |
Roger that. How many prestige for a pony?
Raynor Cordite |
..and I just checked my Shackles chronicle sheets that are on a different character: those grant you the ability to buy a Ship vanity with Disrepute points, so that's probably what Garrapata did.
You can't do that with Plunder and Peril sheets, but they give you other options... :)
Lumo Seme |
Ok... one. This is blowing my mind. Now I want to play those just to get a ship.
Also, I've never heard of vanities before. Are those unlockable items/perks from chronicle sheets?
(I've only played low level games so far. Maybe I just haven't gotten there yet.)
Borox |
Thanks for picking this session up and running it. That was most gracious of you and I thank you very much for doing that. I had a lot of fun. I always have fun playing these. The GMs really bring out the RPG side of things and most players respond well to it (like this entire group).
If anyone in the 4-5 tier wants to keep playing on in the cycle, I am most willing to do so. Borox hit L5 with this session and will have a whole new level of spells along with maybe some more tricks up his sleeves.
Prof. Alkarion |

Vanities are from the Pathfinder Society Primer.

There are some vanities that come from chronicle sheets, too.
But maybe you meant the Pathfinder Society Primer explains them.

Vanities are cool little boons, titles, and other things that you can purchase with your prestige. They're not super-duper impactful, about on par with traits usually, or just fancy sounding. Though, some chronicles have vanties that are unique, or just downright impressive, but those tend to be very expensive by comparison. (My -1 just hit level 12 and purchased a 30 point vanity that was super awesome)

The Ship vanity is actually in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide, as are most of the good vanities as well. Primer vanities are not as good IMO.

CHRONICLES!
Tier 1-2 Crew
1. Lumo (surprisingly diplomatic lizard who still sometimes hits things with a very large object.)
2. Conal (brought his chopper.)
3. Remmy (rodent that slices, dices and sautes--and can still cleanly cut through a tomato!)
4. Kahwen (a bird that always gets his worm.)
5. Kyra (occasionally disgruntled sun worshiper.)
Tier 4-5 Crew
1. El Capitan Garrapata (disreputable nigh-invulnerable capitan!)
2. Borox (dwarf war cleric; he enjoys reading and short negotiations.)
3. Prof. Alkarion (wayang Professor looking for his wayang Marie-Anne.)
4. Kaillum (amphibian with a gun--not a water gun!)
5. Raynor (replacement paladin who is also wondering what he is doing with these people.)
Double check and make sure that these look good. Remember that if you download these files to your Google Drive to make a personal digital copy of them. Otherwise, if my Google Drive ever goes away you will loose the copy in your Drive that I am technically sharing with you.

Thanks GM TWMIG!
Mine needs to be revised to 1/2 XP and 1 PP - rest looks good though!

What a fun game! Thank you for rescuing us!
BTW, your NPCs are very memorable and fun. Loved all of them.

Yep, I'll take care of it when I get in later (way later) tonight.
Thanks all for the kind words, guys. Both games were a lot of fun.
I know a lot of players and GMs race to the end of games because PFS in-person events are timed, and people want to get their rewards, but I kinda feel that neglects the whole role-playing aspect of playing a role-playing game. That's part of the reason why I'll probably shy away from the bigger Game Dayee events. But if in the future, you are looking for a slower-paced more RP-centric online game, full of NPC sock puppets, I'm your GM.
Heads up, I plan on shutting down the game threads at the end of the week to give folks time to collect their chronicles, but feel free to post until then.
Stay thirsty my friends.
