Discoveries and polymorph in alhemists question

Rules Questions

Polymorph causes you to lose abilities that depend on your original form, my question is the folowing:
Do the tentackle or wings discoveries function while polymorphed?

No. They are a part of the original form. Just like you lose arms and legs when you polymorph into a snake, you'd lose wings and tentacles if you polymorph into a form that doesn't have them on its own.

How about mutagen? The beastmorph mutagens let you gain additional abilities, and feral mutagen is "the alchemist gains 2 claws and 1 bite attack", no mention of it being a polymorph effect?

Then what to do with all my higher level exteracts if not polymorph?

And what if he imbibes the feral or beastmorph mutagens after polymorphing? Does he gain an extra 3 attacks? RAW he does.

What is your opinion?

If you use a mutagen after being polymorphed, then yes, it adds new abilities or appendages to your new form.

If before, they are removed when you polymorph (as they do not belong to the new form), but get back when you return to your original form.

Yes, you keep your tentacles and wings because your tentacle and wing discoveries are not based on original form, they are based on class abilities.

Polymorph school says the GM is the “final arbiter” on what is it isn’t based on your form.

As a GM I’d say the class features you keep except Ex class features that I feel “modify” your base form. Like Wings (Ex).

Also keep in mind two polymorph or size changes don’t stack, so a lot of mutagens that are tagged as polymorph will not stack. Beastmorph at 6th is a polymorph (uses beast shape I). It’s probably intended at 1-5 but not stated.
