Shooting into combat

Rules Questions

Just had a quick scan over the rules, and I noticed first that there is no "Precision Shot" (or equivilant) feat.

Then reading further I couldn't find the penalty for shooting into combat (assuming there should be one as per PF).

Can anyone point me where I have missed this?

Don't assume anything from Pathfinder.

Seriously. Treat this game as if someone other than Paizo made it, and forget Pathfinder even exists.

You wont find a precise shot feat because there is no penalty for shooting into melee like there was in Pathfinder (to my best understanding of the rules, I haven't had time to digest all of it yet).

Cool. Cheers.

Your allies could potentially give the enemy cover, but that's the only real penalty. As long as your party is good at not standing in your way like a bunch of doofuses you'll be good.

Yes, but Precise Shot never did anything about the penalty for allies and cover.

That was improved precise shot.

I believe the rules for cover are still in place, though I think the penalties changed.

And I don't recall seeing an improved precise shot, so there is no way to negate those penalties.
