Just announced at GenCon. Todd Stewart may or may be involved in this one.

I can neither confirm or deny that I'm working on this as one amongst a list of awesome and talented people. XD

Unlike 'The Great Beyond' however, a little protean whispered in my ear that one of the authors did not grotesquely overwrite compared to the expected word count and thus cause much horrified WTFery among the developers.

But again, I can't say anything specific at the moment. :)

I can confirm that Todd wrote for this! But only because I have decided that it must be the case.

Interesting.

Nice.

I'm assuming this is a meaty hardcover in the spirit of Occult Adventures or Horror Adventures (Just Planar, rather than Occult or Horrible)?

Bulmahn, Seifter, and Radney-MacFarland announced it at the rules Q&A Thursday. I can't remember a ton of details but there will be 'planar infusions' (story feats that give you associated planar powers, like fire resistance or abilities to manifest flame if you spend time on the elemental plane of fire), new 0 HD races like tiefling/aasimar for law, chaos, and neutrality (I think the chaos one was previously published) and some magic items/rituals that can allow lower level planar travel

Jon Brazer Enterprises

Wahoo! I wish I were helping with this, but I'm glad it is getting made.

Finally planar races for law and neutral plus chaos will finally get a reprint.

That's surely is more than I was expecting to find out in my matinal look through the messageboards.

The chaos based race are probably the Ganzi, from distant shores.

if any have a open playtest for this futur product ?

And hopefully in the RPG line, making the inclusion of such races in future products far more versatile.

While the two new and reprinted races got me eager for an official announcement in paizo.com, I hope they are intending to add setting material into this one as well, describing the main planes of the great beyond (even if only two or just one full page was dedicated to each plane).

Hey, how many "major planes" are out there?

i hope a equivalent of the Githzerai race in this product.

and the shade from forgoten realm to. I like the concept of shadow magic from tome of magic.

I wonder how closely the Neutral race will be to to Book of Heroic Races: Reapers, given the fact that it was written by Mark Seifter, one of the last things he wrote before taking a developer job at Paizo.

Pathfinder already has fetchlings as a shadow touched race.

ok thanks for the respond and no problem with that.

I hope that the neutral plane touched race will not be just for psychopomps.

I, for one, welcome our half-goth overlords.

YES, THE PLANES SHALL BE CHARTED!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

*ahem*
Now, who do I need to bribe to get half fiend/ half celestial templates for specific outsiders like we got in Demons Revisited (i.e. Half-Balor, Half-Succubus, Half-Marilith)? I mean, I don't have much in the way of money (because I spend all of it on Pathfinder anyway), but what I do have is the makings of fudge. Very. Good. Fudge.

Add to that list templates for half-lawful outsiders and half-chaotic outsiders and I just might be able to add some snickerdoodles to the mix.

So I take it we will find out more about this one on Saturday night?

Anyone interested in the new Planar Adventures book might also be interested to know that familiar names like Todd Stewart, Colin "Planescape and Baldur's Gate 2" McComb, Liz Courts, and others including myself are working on a planar campaign setting that should complement it nicely called City of Seven Seraphs.

Material I'd be interested in is items/rituals to improve planar jumping accuracy as well as more content on demiplanes.

Thanks, man. I'd pretty much forsworn Kickstarter after getting burned one too many times. But I'll make an exception for this product.

If I recall correctly, they specifically said it was a psychopomp.

If it makes you feel better about your pledge, the vast majority of this book is extremely developed and the big thing here is covering the costs of art, layout, and production. This is my second big Kickstarter and my first one, Spheres of Might, is well on track for the .pdf to be going out within the next 60 days and this book is substantially farther along in art, development, etc. than that book was at the same point in time.

There's a feat in Ultimate Intrigue that enhances Plane Shift accuracy.

Preliminary research suggest this is the feat he was talking about.

You need this one as prerequisite, though.

The Planar Traveler (Story) feat from Player's Companion - Quests and Campaigns is better, once it's required are fulfilled you always arrive on target whether you used spells or items as well as see on the other side of portals.

Though it would be nice to have additional options other than feats for builds that are feat starved.

It's surprising there isn't some sort of beacon spell/item that you can set up so when you return to that plane it's not some random location.

thus this futur product have new class ? Like maybe a equivalent solarian for pathfinder class.

Obvious "hole" in the different books that Pathfinder still needs, so not a surprise. Although based on this and from what I have heard about Ultimate Wilderness, there appears to be a bit more tweaking of the general content of the RPG line, what with new races and I would imagine setting material.

I wonder if the void element for the kineticist will get a reprint here, given its connections with the negative energy plane.

Regardless, though, very excited to hear about this...been looking forward to this book for a very long time.

That would be cool to see the void element for kineticist get a reprint in this one.

So hypothetically speaking, might this be a book which could inform us of multiple ways to send a non-native outsider (say, just for example, a succubus) back to their home plane without using banishment magic but just locations where a planar connection has been made?

(Just curious, asking for a friend)

*taps chin*

I'm legitimately curious what zany scheme you're concocting in that festering mind of your's where something like this could actually play out and succeed, and without you dying horribly in the process.

Regardless, *begins wiping grime and dust off of caramelization cauldron*

Edit: apparently "caramelization" is not a word according to autocorrect -_-

I wonder if this book will focus more on rules, more on campaigning setting info, or combine both about even?

Did they give a release date yet?

I suppose it will get the same treatment as BotD - or at least close to it. We will have to wait to see how BotD will handle the Rules X Setting aspect of the book.

There will be rules in this book for sure. But also a lot of "setting" information.

Announced release date is "Spring."

Any new classes planned?

I hope there are some good kineticist archetypes. There aren't very many of them.... It would also be the PERFECT time to introduce void element into a hardcover and improve void element (such as fixing the defense which is lackluster)

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Companion, Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Since it looks like the book is more setting heavy I would be surprised if there was going to be any new classes.

Funny you should ask! Something nifty this way comes by way of Lost Spheres. Very planarly, I suspect as it's been described it will fit beautifully into most planar campaigns. And, so far they've revealed one core-class (available to backers for playtest) and two races. More has been teased.

Is the core class a paizo class or 3rd party?
