I have discovered that I could register characters for Starfinder.

Welcome, fellow Starfarers!

I'm Charli Poshkettle, the gnome who will eventually soar to the stars! Somewhere, someday, somehow... It will be gnomes in spa-a-a-a-ace!

Exo-Guardians

This explains why the site is so slow.
Everyone is registering themselves.

Well, hopefully they get some ah, more ah, icons on uh, soon, because this really isn't ah, me, it's far too, ah, plain.

Good job on getting things going, though. Things must be a madhouse right now.

So I just created 24 characters so the first one I play can be 724-724.

That's my guess. Another thread said the RPG guide is coming in the immediate future.

Dun dun dun...

Who is 724, this mystery number?

Sczarni *****

Starfinder Charter Superscriber

It should totally be an Android named "Seven Two Four".

...*rushes off to make an Android*

Exo-Guardians

I'm also failing to see the reference to 724. The nearest thing I can find is that it's a Pennsylvania telephone area code.

Must be some inside joke.

I for one would've liked to have -602 open for a Starfinder character because that's the name of a protagonist of a hfy story I really like, but alas, we started at 701 instead of 601 :).

I'd need to make 75 Starfinder characters to play 775-775. :)

It is indeed a madhouse! The icons will be sorted out on Monday—excuse our spacedust :)

Alright, new rule. All campaign award recipients need to make an android named after their PFS # in the appropriate slot.

If anything that can go wrong will; then you just need to make sure that nothing CAN go wrong, and nothing will.

I am Vrusk.

will the races from the pathfinder legacy section be playable with out boons?

HELLO IS THIS THING ON?

I can make a fusion core out of a pair of coconuts but your standard vid recorder goes wonky. The universe has a sense of humor

Dataphiles

"Have you, ah, tried turning it off and ah, back on again? And then, ah, doing that with the battery out, then putting the battery back in? Failing that, have you resorted to ah, percussive methods to recalibrate the recorder?"

Dataphiles *****

"I COULD set it so that it flickers on and off so fast that it induces a state of quantum on or off thats always just restarted and since that solves 90% of all problems make the equipment 90% more reliable..."

Theres the sound of grinding, soldering, ratcheting, followed by an ominous WHOMP and a flash of blue light.

Just received my physical copy today, and the character creation section is REALLY geared towards new players. You could almost say that as Sci-Fi RPG's go this one is a bit of a "Beginner's Game."

I'm waiting to see how many andriods are going to be named data and lore in variant forms

Such an occurrence would be Vastly amusing.

I'm waiting for the horde of bad computer science puns myself.

I hope so.

I don't know what the "Xeno-Wardens" because I am a damn Exo-Guardian, sir!

Exo-Guardians

Yes. The title was a bit confusing, but it was the closest to the Exo-Guardian.

Xeno-Wardens are those Castrovelian nature protectors if I'm not mistaken.

Exo-Guardians *

Well unless they equip them Xeno Turkeys with a heavy rail-gun, I ain't one of 'em.

Grand Lodge **** Venture-Captain, Online aka Hmm

Gamerskum wrote:

At the moment, no. That was clarified in a previous blog. Those races will require a boon. It has been hinted strongly that access to them will come via the Regional Support Program.

Hmm

Dataphiles ***

Still deciding on what I look like...

Wayfinders

Kallus is ready... except for changes after the Player's Guide of course...

Acquisitives ***

Zero-Six-Eight-Nine...ready and functioning at 100% (more like 30% with no books, but what ever)

My first Starfinder character will be a descendant of my PFS Venture Captain character since he is my only human.

Yeah, what kind of crazy would make seventy- checks PFS character list

Um, never mind. Carry-on.

The gap only removes known history for 300 years or so. I don't think it means history from before that time is also forgotten.

I think you may have it slightly wrong. Historical records go back a few centuries... then nothing. A blank. In most cases, accurate records stretch back about 300 years from the present. Beyond that? Perhaps small caches of information... or contradictory recollections. One must go back to the "dim and misty ages of the ancient past" before history becomes "reliable" again.

**

Obviously it didn't completely destroy all history or people wouldn't have a clue who the Azlanti are or who the Aspis are ect.

You wake up in the master bedroom of a manor with pictures of people form the past in places of respect where family members would normally go and your the only one in the house and there is a book listing a family tree and nothing else is an example of such a cache that might be around as it contains finite data that has no affect on the timeline in any real regard.

However him knowing isnt even remotely required of the idea just a fun little thing in the back of my mind.

Second Seekers

And the icons have been fixed.
Woohoo.

Now the wait begins for starfinder mugshots to use for our characters.

Dataphiles *****

Oh, shiney!

Will Starfinder Society characters use the 20 point buy system for attributes, like Pathfinder Society, when creating characters?

It uses the Starfinder Point Buy, which is comepletely different than Pathfinder's.

It's in the guide.

Found it, thank you! I just overlooked it.
