As a small but mighty writer for a small but mighty part of this project? This is bigger than I could have ever dreamed. Thank you everyone!

I'm very excited about this project. Just from the races alone, I would have backed this. On top of that, I'm going to get a great bit of lore and campaign info to torture challenge my players' level 20 characters with...that's just icing on the cake.

One of the things I'm most excited about is the type of adventure this opens up and supports. My players have stated a few times that they want a campaign more like Torment: Tides of Numenera, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2, or Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, an adventure where there's a lot more support of the outer planes and just kind of weird adventures and characters, and this is a great way for them to get that. With classes like the nexus, aethernaut, and radiant, you're never going to hear or think of the word "mundane"; everyone's going to be funky and different with unique connections to the worlds beyond. The Co7S "fighter" is the aethernaut, a full BAB thematic mash-up of the Fighter, Psychic Warrior, and Occultist, who specializes in manipulating magic items and using psychic intuition to navigate the hazards of the planes. Nexus lets you play pretty much any outsider you want, or a variety of them, grabbing a bunch of fun abilities and tearing through opponents with weapons that epitomize and channel planar power. Everything is cool, everything is a little weird, and so are all the adventures the book presents, which is really exciting. It manages to be both a return to something really old school that makes me think of the Weatherlight and its crew from the old Magic: The Gathering books, and the Planescape setting, and Spelljammer, but also something new that hasn't quite been done before.

Aye. The main reason I backed this is because of the myriad of ideas that popped into my head just looking at the synopsis. It's going to be weird enough to give me tons of wiggle-room as a GM, and won't be anything my players are familiar with. At all.
It's going to play a role similar to the City of Brass, but with much less predictability on their part. They won't be running into high level versions of things they've already encountered, it will all be new, something few denizens of the material plane have even heard of.

As a player, I'm really looking forward to playing a Nexus. I don't know if you have any familiarity with the Age of Conan MMO, but I could easily see how to make a Herald of Xotli-like character within that framework.

When I say I'm excited for this product, I really mean it. So much potential, both as a player and as a GM.

Oh man, I'm so glad this thing funded. It's been a tight race, but you know, it's also been kind of amazing. The Co7S team has gotten damn close, what with the meetings at Gencon, the get togethers, talking with other designers. It's kind of just amazing how awesome this project is, and how lucky I feel to be working with such amazing people on such an impressive project. Seriously, it's time for us all to take a bow before doing our best to try and break a stretch goal or two before we pull the curtain on this exhausting kickstarter and start getting into full force to make sure we put out an absolutely outstanding product for those of you who pledged your money to help us make something so unique!

I'm so there...

Trying to think how I could connect the Tarnished Souk and Coliseum Morpheuon {Rite Publishing} to the city. Would make for an interesting adventure.

That makes me SO HAPPY. The brainstorm with Soren on these was a quick back and forth and has left me incredibly energized and inspired. I know what I'll do with them mechanically to set them apart from every other race, but I'm more excited about what they are and their weltanschauung - it all comes together so perfectly...

The Exchange

Congrats to all who work on that project. And congrats to the backers to get it. Can't wait to get it.

Looks like we just hit $30k for PLanar Magic by Wolfgang Baur!

OK... I jumped in.
PDF only though sadly - I broke my budget with Starfinder books (the wife looked as me askance when that total went well over $150). Wish I could do more.

I'm right there with you. Went way over my rpg budget these last couple months.

I long for the Rob Lazzaretti poster map. It seems rather unlikely that we'll hit $40K in the next 34 hours ... but here's hoping!

So excited this has funded; congratulations to everyone working on it. I just doubled my pledge so I can give a 2nd HC to a buddy, who I've been teasing w/ the art.

I just added a T-shirt. That put us over the 32K break point for the stretch goal.

I really wanted to back this, but just can't financially right now.

This might have already been asked somewhere, but for people who missed the Kickstarter will there be an option to get the book through Backerkit or something similar? Will you be doing preorders through Paizo?

I asked Christen about this the other day and his response was that we should have a Backerkit page up in a few days that will allow people to preorder books, as well as pick up some of the Kickstarter extras like the art prints, t-shirts, etc.

Any idea on a release date yet?

Kickstarter says August 2018.

They did say that that date is the likely date of the Hardcover release. The PDF will probably release sooner.

We are targeting an August Release but doing our best to beat it. Stay tuned! PDF will definitely be available earlier.

I must be blind, because I can't find the email for the alpha Nexus.

EDIT: mystery solved, went to the wrong email.

I believe it was in update #31 on Kickstarter.

the cleaned up one is missing the stat block for the lucent.

That may be due to the lucent getting moved somewhere else in the completed book, but I'll pass that along to Christen.

Yeah, I saw that and figured the lucent was probably moved to a bestiary chapter. A page number reference would be a good idea when the time comes.

It's neat to see all the excitement for this. I'm working on some of my contributions to this right now, in fact!

I thought I'd jump in and let everyone know, that as of about an hour ago Christen added the Eclipse playtest to the backer goodies, so as of right now, anyone one who backed at the Co7S .pdf level or higher should have access to all three new akashic classes (Eclipse, Nexus, and Radiant), as well as scores of new veils! If you missed out on the Kickstarter, you can still gain access to these goodies by preordering through Backerkit!

The Eclipse iconic's art is just outstanding. If I get a brain injury prior to this book coming out and no longer understand my native language, I can still look at what I am confident will be the best art in an RPG book the world has ever seen...or I have ever seen. Bar none.
