How does the champion path ability always a chance and the firearms misfires interact.
Always a Chance:
You don't automatically miss when you roll a 1 on an attack roll.
Firearms:
Misfires: If the natural result of your attack roll falls within a firearm's misfire value, that shot misses, even if you would have otherwise hit the target. When a firearm misfires, it gains the broken condition. While it has the broken condition, it suffers the normal disadvantages that broken weapons do, and its misfire value increases by 4 unless the wielder has gun training in the particular type of firearm. In that case, the misfire value increases by 2 instead of 4.
Misfires function like natural fumbles, but do they just ignore always a chance since the language is different?

The don't really have anything to do with each other.
Always a chance means a natural 1 is not an automatic miss, but it doesn't have anything to do with the firearms rule at all.
Those would apply as normal.
Basically, Always a chance makes a natural 1 function just like a natural 2 does (except for being 1 lower of course.) When you roll a 2 you add your bonuses and see if you hit. It being a 2 has no effect on the outcome other than being the base number that you roll.
Now, if you are using a firearm with a misfire of 1-2 the 2 matters. Even if you were going against an AC of 10 and had +30 to your attack, you roll a natural 2 and you miss. Always a chance doesn't change any of this, so even though a natural 1 is no longer a automatic miss because of the base combat rules, it is still a misfire and follows the rules for misfires.
