Oracle- Child curse

Advice and Rules Questions

SO i'm planning on using the new Child curse on a character i am making, But some things confuse me about how it is supposed to work.

The intent of the curse seems to be you are effectively a child or at least an adult in child's body. the main penalty is the minus 4 strength, my problem is does it make to small as a young character would be as well or are you medium? If small do you get the dexterity bonus?

I haven't seen this curse yet...where is it located ?

The curse does what it says. Nothing more.

Since it doesn't say you have a different size, you don't.

If it helps, medium size starts at 4' tall. Most 8 yo human children are around that size.

AH...it's 3PP, that's why I hadn't heard of it.

like i've been comparing it to it's obvious counterpart Aged which does change age categories and stuff so i'm thinking maybe this is just a case of the ball being dropped and terms being forgotten.

Sure, a 10 yo wouldn't fit well in armor made for a large human warrior.

Granted this is an oddity in the system, as an elf and a dwarf and an orc can usually swap armor with no issue (despite that not making any sense, but it cuts down the bookkeeping).

Also, being small would nothing to do with needing custom armor. Halflings and Gnomes, while they need appropriately sized armor, don't need custom armor.

A human oracle with the child curse needs custom medium armor, or they can only done hastily. Luckily this is mostly just flavor, as custom armor doesn't seem to cost any more, and of course magical armor will work fine for you.

Bottom line though, there is nothing about the child curse that would make a medium creature into a small creature.

And since it is 3rd party, why don't you check with your GM to see if a) you can use it at all; and b) how he/she wants it to work with regards to your size and any other unspecified aspects of it?

Plus, this part of the forum is not equipped to handle this kind of question. This rules area is for Paizo products.

I am pretty sure you can find more experienced advice in the Third Party Advice and Rules section.
