Advice

So been working on a new character and up to level 2...so in PFS I have to make a final call. Currently i have a level 9 inquisitor archer with a companion...and he is really nasty. Then I have a level 5 Investigator(4)/swashbuckler(1) he has finally gotten his feet under him and is doing really well. Then I planned to do a 1 lvl bloodrager, X skald.. on paper he looks really nice. I had a issue with skills but got advice and that worked out...he is a really nice generalist with a big weapon and a +8 str to his rage. BUT..and I've come up with the realization during a game with my investigator. Most people assume a cha character will be the leader/face. In the case of my investigator I have Fun with the fact he has a 7 cha and and pretty much 10 to diplomacy...he is by no means a leader (a player was really confused by this but I feel he works by turning on and off his face...but really will let a lot of things go by if it isnt interesting to him.) The skald will probably be looked on to lead and I prefer to avoid that. I only play on occasion and admittedly I'm there to hit things with something to do with the stuff in between. So I like my generalists. I'm thinking about going the occultist route but curious if I should look at something else.

So?

Just because someone assumes something doesn't mean you have to conform to their expectations. Don't put any ranks in skills you don't want to use, if the other characters ask your character what they should do just say "I don't know."

You certainly don't have to lead or be the diplomat if you don't want to.

+8 str to rage???

Bloodrager rage plus amplified rage with a valet familiar to also have amplified rage and rage via song.

Personally I didn't like it cause I don't want a primary damage person to spend a round buffing. Support fighters do well with a round of buffs and then wade it, but if your job is beating face the round to buff is strange.

Also, why tell people what your charisma is? Just let them know that you're a rage guy.

Thanks.

The one round is a tad rough but not a deal breaker imo Maybe because I'm so used to the inquisitor's first round is casting divine favor...but as a archer it is rough but not a deal breaker. I did do the inspired rage only to see someone take advantage and slaughter the opposition.

Next level I will become a face applying my perform to diplomacy and sense motive. I dont mind having the skill but usually a gm will ask me "How do you do it?" The investigator is fun since I try to be rude while making some valid points. Guess since at work I have to talk to people all day I'm less prone to do it while playing. Not to mention I try to write some notes...just not good notes. :P

I really feel the character will basically cover a lot of bases. But perhaps my hesitation is also that even though I'm going a str route..I'm making a variation of the other characters...not necessarily a bad thing but maybe a been there done that. Since the parties vary from session to session I like to have as many options available as possible.
