So I've only got limited funds and I've already secured the Core Rulebook by preordering it at my local shop. Do you think it would be fast/better to preorder from Paizo or my local shop? Also, and more importantly, what order should I make my purchases in to get the most? I'm curious to see what everyone else is buying and what they find more important.

unless your local shop is charging you shipping costs I would default to ordering through them, at least on the hardback books.

Depends on what you want/need from it.
As I'm going to GM starfinder society I will simply be getting everything in just about the order they are producing it, and the pawns I'm getting will most likely be used by my home GM for the adventurepath. :).
If you want to play in Starfinder Society I would advise to get the core rules. The Alien Archives and adventurepath booklets might also come in handy, but hold of on buying those until you know what is going to be allowed from them.
If you plan to GM in a home setting, it would be the core rules and Alien Archives at the very least.
If you get to play in a home setting, I think the core rules will be enough.
