To add details like major writing credits and cover artist to the product description when new Paizo products are launched on the site? And then updating it when the final description/cover art is released? But like for all products? I've seen it on some, but not all.

My guess is that some products have a more advanced turn-around time than others, depending on the writer(s) and the product type. Some times writers are under contract and real world happens. I doubt they can legally put someone's name on as a writing credit prior to their final manuscript being submitted... to shield themselves from false advertising claims by both end-readers and FLGSs who preorder on name recognition.

Some products, such as any written by a Paizo staffer, the manuscript needs to be turned in before they even put it on the schedule. On the other hand, most freelancer-written products the page is up before the product is off to the printer, and for adventure paths subscribers may have part 1 while they are still working on part 5 or 6 (This is why pawns/maps can't be earlier in the AP, as they don't have the art for them from later volumes yet). So this may not be possible.

The TLDR is that sometimes (not always) when we solicit we don't have a specific author lined up just yet. The final descriptions (at least for the APs) do include contributor names. It wouldn't be too "hard" to include them at that point, but I don't think that's actually a great long-term solution. Ideally, we would have products tagged by author such that a customer could filter down for all works by that person. I don't know that having the cover artist treated in that way is especially beneficial, but it doesn't hurt to add that to the description in some fashion.

I'll keep this in mind—I also think that there's room for improvement on our product displays in general, so if you have any other ideas, pass 'em our way :)

Hi Chris.

I mentioned it once before, so it may well be on a list somewhere (or perhaps in a basket?), but I'd also like it if there was a 'month of release' tag.

There is a reasonable workaround going to a product line and choosing "Newest First". There are a few anomalies though - most notably in the map packs line, where the "most recent" list option gets screwy due to adding in PDFs after the fact.

To give you an example of what I currently find difficult: I've had occasion from time to time to locate what player companions or campaign setting books were released during a particular AP. I can kind of do it via jumping back and forth across the various product lines, but a "What was released between June and December 2013" option would be useful (albeit only occasionally).

I always get slightly nervous posting things like this, since half the time there's already a way to do it and who likes look stupid in public? :/

Well, considering the daily news out of the US:

To let innuendo get the better of me...

The Wiki goes as far as to track the releases by year, but that is as close to what Steve is asking I can think of
