No that damage is only once. In fact as far as I recall, something is specifically mentioned like "only once" in such a way that it actually indirectly implies that once a character has been poisoned, they will _never_ take HP damage from that poison again for the rest of their life, which is obviously silly. I presume they meant something like "only whilst the target is poisoned" though, but again as far as I recall I think there was somehow an issue with ruling it that way as well (maybe not?).
There are many problems with unchained poison. In fact, it's extremely sloppily-made.
The biggest problem is that they did not convert many poisons at all to the new system, meaning all conversions would have to be done manually and up-to-interpretation by the GM. Yes there are guidelines/rules for converting, but it doesn't cover all sorts of important particulars, such as special effects that those poisons had/have, nor how to change the cost of the poison. The costs should change because damage is based off DC, and if a poison in the old system has a high DC but terrible/weaker effect, it will be cheaper cost, but in unchained the weaker effect doesn't really matter, and you get extra damage for free. An example of this is Purple Worm Poison.
Unfortunately both the default poison system and the Unchained poison system are junk. What's worse is many homebrew solutions that people come up with are just as short-sighted and problematic. I don't know why people are so incompetent with making these systems. The hardest part is wt unifying drugs with poisons, but that isn't even necessary, and I haven't heard of anyone that's even tried to do that anyway (but they should, for actually important reasons).
