I'm listening to the PaizoCon podcast from Know Direction, and I just heard Maze of Death is due in Spring 2018. Is that true?
Also, are things winding down for Pathfinder minis? I hope there is still momentum.
I just became a subscriber, and if there are tea leaves to be read I think a discussion is appropriate.
Thanks for the input!

There are other releases coming out - Iconics set 7 and 8. According to the main market research for gaming,
ICv2 it is scheduled to be released in October. Wizkids is famous for not finalizing release dates until the product lands from china, about 1 week before the release date.

As you can see on the official monthly release page from Wizkids , the release is still scheduled for october.
In my (not too small) experience, the final date may still shift one or two months, but lately the release dates have been very reliable and only shifted a few weeks once this year.
I think "Maze of Death" will either be out on october 25th or shift to a wednesday in november 2017.

No problem. There were just a few things that, in combination, hinted at a downward turn for the Pathfinder game:
An unexpected and unannounced delay in miniatures (likely a slip of the tongue)
Delays and displacement of the card game (next AP release 2 years away)
Closure of Pathfinder MMO online company with baton passing to parent company
Launch of Starfinder in conjunction with 10 years of Pathfinder (similar to the product line dilution prior to the TSR dissolution)
Departure of various staff (most notably Mr. Schneider )
In totality the banquet announcements gave me mild cause for concern.

Yep—just a mistake.
Delays and displacement of the card game (next AP release 2 years away)
It's not as big a delay as it sounds. I don't know if you've been following the PACG schedule for long, but if you have, you'll know that retailers and customers asked us to slow down the pace, so we responded by introducing a year-long gap between Deck 6 of Wrath (released October 2015) and the Mummy's Mask Base Set (October 2016). That actually seemed to go over pretty well. And since Mummy's Mask 6 shipped in March 2017, just repeating that gap would mean no new Base Set until March 2018. So yes, we're going to take a bit longer to incorporate the things we've learned over the years, but no matter what, there wouldn't have been anything coming for a while yet.
Closure of Pathfinder MMO online company with baton passing to parent company
(Paizo was not the "parent company" of Goblinworks—we were the licensor—but I get what you mean.) This is admittedly not the best news we've ever had to deliver, but as Lisa mentioned, the consultants who looked at the game for us believe it's going to work.
But we also announced Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder Duels, which demonstrates that videogame licensing for Pathfinder is on an upward trend.
Launch of Starfinder in conjunction with 10 years of Pathfinder (similar to the product line dilution prior to the TSR dissolution)
There's a big distinction between this and TSR's proliferation of campaign settings. Please read this post (and a followup I made two posts below it), then come back here.
In the months since I wrote that, I'm even more convinced that Starfinder is going to be weighing more heavily on the acquisition side than the cannibalization side. We've been getting a lot of press on it from unusual places, and I think we're going to pick up a lot of folks who have been playing Star Wars, Warhammer, and 5E rather than Pathfinder. (And I'm pretty certain that this Gen Con will be one of our two best ever, which is something I wouldn't be able to say if our August hardcover were say, Bestiary 7.)
Departure of various staff (most notably Mr. Schneider )
I won't tell you that that's not a big deal—Wes was with us for a long time, and his presence will be missed. But it is also an opportunity. Over the years, Paizo's growth has pulled Erik's attention more into management than into product creation, and since he was able to rely on Wes, that mostly worked out. But in the weeks since Wes let us know he was leaving, Erik has spent a lot of time reassessing things, and the end result is that he's going to have a more direct hand in our products than he's had in a while, and that's a really good thing, because the stuff he touches just tends to be better. Erik is more excited and more energized than I've seen in quite some time, and I'm really pleased with the things he has planned for his department. This is not a knock against Wes at all, but I think that the reassessments that his departure triggered are ultimately going to put us in a much better place.
In totality the banquet announcements gave me mild cause for concern.
Well, from where I'm sitting, things look really positive. I feel like things are really starting to come together for us in a way that we haven't seen before, and I think we're going to see many more positive developments over the next five years.

Thanks for that update, Vic.
Really glad to hear that Erik will be increasing his creative input alongside his management role at the company. It's also really good to hear things are looking good for Starfinder and going well for Paizo generally.
I don't envy you a busy GenCon (everything I've heard about GenCon makes me very glad I'm never going to go. I imagine working there would be even worse!) But I hope Starfinder makes the splash it deserves - it's looking fantastic from the snippets I've seen so far.
