Kindle Fire HD 8 and Paizo PDFs

Starfinder Charter Superscriber

Has anyone tried one of the Kindle Fire HD 8s with Paizo PDFs? Older threads say the Fire HDX 8.9 is big enough to handle a full page while still being readable, but it's got something like twice the resolution of the Fire HD 8, not to mention the slightly larger screen. Just curious if someone has given it a shot before I pick one up.

I've used a Fire 6 for them, and been okay with it. Then again I read smaller letters well.

I'd say only you know how well your sight for detail is.
