Looking for a Scenario with a Single Map

Pathfinder Society

I am looking to prep a scenario fairly quickly and wanted help finding one that takes place on a single map. I know this is the case with the first level of Emerald Spire, but I am hoping to find one that is a normal scenario which gives 1 xp and 2 prestige.

Are there any out there?

What tier do you have in mind? Do you own any flipmats?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Hall of the Flesh Eaters (1-5)
The Ghennett Manor Gauntlet (5-9)
The Flesh Collector (7-11)

These scenarios are both straightforward to prepare (IMO) and use only a single map.

There's a lot of other scenarios using a single map, but those can be tricky maps, or non-straightforward scenarios. These three are all strong scenarios that I recommend.

Off the top of my head...
0-5 Mists of Mwangi [1-5]
2-11 The Penumbral Accords [1-5, I think]

1-5 tier....I will take a peek at Hall of the Flesh Eaters and Penumbral Accords. Thanks!

The disappeared uses 1 large map and a single square room.

FYI, i also flagged this as in the wrong forum since it is in the general RPG and not the PFS forum

The Disappeared is a really good scenario, and quite well-written for the GM too. But I would say that it's a shade more "advanced".

I just realized Hall of the Flesh Eaters does have a second map, but that one's a generic flipmat that can be replaced with just about any forest themed flipmat.

Mists of Mwangi is indeed a good one too, and actually uses the same map as Penumbral Accords.

What makes The Disappeared more "advanced" in your view?

Disappeared is a lot more involved than just rolling dice and smacking enemies. The infiltration part can be quite tricky to run.

Also, not in low tier, but Forbidden Furnace of Forgotten Koor is an absolutely amazing scenario on a single map. There's a really small second map, but no combat takes place there, so if you describe it well enough (or a quick sketch, rather than an actual drawing) it should suffice.

Tome of Righteous Repose is a good single map one to prep and have on hand to fill in, since it's evergreen. It's 3-7 though.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Quest of perfection 2 on hostile waters is mainly on one ship

Silver Crusade 4/5

Also with a single (but large) map web of corruption 1

It's more complicated than a dungeon crawl, basically. There's puzzles, some social stuff and the whole infiltration thing. It's pretty well-built for just how much it manages to do; this is one of the most GM-friendly heist scenarios. But that's still a cut more complicated than a dungeon crawl.

I considered that one too. But although it's a single map, it's quite a big one so not so fun if you have to draw it.

Also, it has a bit of a big first-time prep load. In the long run it's a very good investment though. I think it's the evergreen that will stay fresh the longest. So many different challenges that are really challenging.

Yeah, I don't think I'd recommend ToRR as a go to if you're drawing the map yourself instead of buying the flipmat.

Scarab Sages

Murder on the throaty mermaid takes places entirely on a single ship. There are three decks, but you can easily draw them on the same mat.
