Silly Character Idea, the Ultimate Improvisor

Scarab Sages

So, looking though stuff for a character concept, I noticed the human feat chain Fast Learner->Improvisation->Improved Improvisation.

So the feat chain nets you +4 to all skill untrained checks, and lets you try all said checks untrained. In addition, there is an alternate half elf racial that nets you an additional +2 to all untrained skill checks.

This, combined with the level 5 Evangalist ability (+4 sacred or profane) bonus to all untrained skill checks nets me a +10 bonus.

Now, if I make this character a Skald-Evangalist, I also get +(1/2 lvl-1) to all knowledge checks untrained, and I can make said checks untrained.

Is there a way to boost my untrained skill even higher? I mean, I'm already at a +10 (+attribute) by level 11 (and +15 +attribute for knowledge checks) but I wanna know if I can get stupid crazy.

For those at home the build looks something like this:
(rough build)
Str:16, Dex:12, Con:14, Int: 13 Wis:10, Chr:14

Level 1: Skald Ranks in perform skills, Knowledge Religion, UMD? Feat-Fast Learner
Level 2: Skald
Level 3: Skald-Improvisation
Level 4: Skald
Level 5: Skald-Diefic Obedience (some god . . . Erastil maybe?)
Level 6: Evangalist
Level 7: Evangalist-Improved Improvisation
Level 8+Evangalist

Other things: Obviously I can get a circlet of persuasion for charisma based skills, and Mwk thieves tools, Mwk Books to get a +2 to knowledge skills when I have the time to use them . . .

But are there any ideas on how to boost my bonuses to untrained skills?

Mindchemist (Alchemist archetype) gets double Int bonus to knowledge skills at level two. Take Inspiring Cognatogen to add 1d6 to any skill check.

Deific obedience from Irori gives +4 on knowledge checks. Alternately Shelyn's comes with +4 on craft or perform, and a trait from her religion, inner beauty, can give a +4 once per day to those or to diplomacy or bluff. This would synergise well with versatile performance.

The worldly trait lets you roll twice on an untrained skill once per day.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

An odd question perhaps, but what are you going to do with the skillpoints you do have? The Linguistics skill grants languages, so that could be useful. Are there any other skills that grant boons like that?

The +4 sacred/profane bonus from (say) Irori doesn't stack with the +4 sacred/profane bonus from evangalist.

Theamatically, I need at least one perform skill. I also need to put ranks in knowledge-religion to qualify for Evangalist. Other than that, I figured UMD was theamatic (I dunno what this wand is but I'll activate it anyway!). Linguistics is another good pick for the languages, like you said.

I'd pick up the trait Surprise Weapons so that you effectively remove the penalty for using improvised weapons. Seems fitting
