Spiritualist and Phantom Levels

I was considering multi-classing from a spiritualist into a cleric. Would my phantoms level be tied to my spiritualist level or my OVERALL level? The spiritualist sheet makes it vague when it says level, hit die, spells etc are shared between spiritualist and the phantom itself, so I was looking for more of a definitive answer if possible.

A fully manifested phantom’s abilities, feats, Hit Dice, saving throws, and skills are tied to the spiritualist’s class level.

Only spiritualist class level.

Everything is written assuming solo class. So phantoms are only to spiritualist levels, just like animal companions are tied to druid levels. Now there is a feat to increase your phantom up by 4 levels to a cap of your character level if you're interested in some small multi-classing.
