Gen Con All Gone

Did people get what they wanted? That filled up all right away. Hopefully more are added I got in the 00 for 8pm-1am. Even the 2am-7am slots filled up. Hype.

I got 1 out of 5... 1-02 for Sat @ 8am.

Hopefully Paizo has the option to juggle table allocations and get a bit more Starfinder into the mix. Some of my buddies got the quest pack, I missed out.

I didn't get in to any of them. I tried getting tickets for my husband, a friend, and me and we didn't get in. Unfortunately my husband refused to play at 2 am. They filled up the slowest.

Second year going to Gen Con so I know registration is a gong show. I went for the Thursday 00 for the 300 tickets alone. Half of my group got in.

They did just add a few seminars the past few days you may still be able to get into :D

Sovereign Court

I got into the Thursday night special #1-00, I'm stoked!

This is my 6th year going, and I still made a major mistake. I didn't even bother to look at how many tickets there were for each game. The 2 Starfinder games I tried to get into each had 24 tickets. That's not a lot of people.

Oh well, we bought some generic tickets. Maybe we can get into one of the games that way.

It could be wise to refresh those pages every once in a while. I'm sitting on an extra Thornwatch ticket hoping another Starfinder event opens up and I can drop one for what works best.

Holy Crap. I didn't realize that was today. My wishlist is completely sold out D:

Does that mean I won't get to play?

Between this and FFG's L5R event selling out almost literally instantly, the sting of never being able to go to GenCon is really muted...

Is it worth going to gencon if the event you were going for in the first place sold out already? Cause I've already spent money for this trip, if I can't even get in... o God.

Don't have the post handy since I'm on my phone, but there should be quest packs and demos running as non-ticket events during the con.

If you are open to playing different games then yes. You should get to play.

I got into the first Qwests slot and a Commencement, and I was in the first 2500 or so to submit. My son and I did not understand why they did registration they way they did. Ranking your choices if you are still handling the submissions on a first come first serve basis doesn't make a lot of sense especially given how much they are saying enrollment has gotten the last few years. We also noticed that the submission software did not use a standardized time since the count down clocks on our 2 computers where almost 45 seconds apart (which meant about 4000 people).

Thank goodness. I hit submit as soon as the button was available and didn't get in.

I was surprised and disappointed that the Starfinder games sold out so quickly. But I have a solution: I am going to pick up my preordered book and about 6 hours later set up in open gaming to run the thing. I don't imagine I will have too much difficulty finding interested parties and we can learn the game together.

I'll gladly join you :D

I hope more are added as well. I didn't get in any starfinder at all, and I was really looking forward to it. I guess i will lurk around and see if a seat or two opens up!

I'll be running demos adjacent to Paizo's booth in the exhibition hall all weekend from 10-6 (10-4 Sunday) and I think I'm one of 2 or 3 demo-ers. I don't have any further information yet, but I'll be there ready to help you get your game on!

EDIT:I expect I'll be pretty busy all weekend based on the quick sell-out.

Scarab Sages

It is a wonderful thing that it sold out so quickly. The excitement about this game keeps growing. Of course, I'm curious how people are going to have 1st level characters when the core rulebook is released during Gen Con.

If you think you missed your chance, by generics. In most games there are always one or two that don't show to the game.

My understanding is, the games being run on Thursday will be using pregens, with the expectation you'll be able to have your own characters by Friday's slots.

Dark Archive

Anything with the 00 should be pregen. Thursday was just the largest pool of 300 seats and then there was other 00 times with smaller ticket limits.

I'm going to try and grab the Free RPG day scenario and have that prepped to play at GenCon if I get some downtime.

I really wanted to try some society stuff but 00 pregens is fine by me :D

You can still offer to GM at GenCon. If they're not full it's a way to guarantee a seat at a table.

I'm volunteering for HQ Friday night, Saturday day, Saturday night, Sunday morning.

I had the full day on my 'wish list' but apparently that meant less than nothing compared to how 'wish lists' seem to work.

Well, maybe there will be some Pathfinder...

True, but knowing my group, I'm going to be the GM for Starfinder. Wanted to be a player at least once first

As has been posted many times prior, the Free RPG day offering is NOT an adventure, it's a "bonus bestiary"

Dont be discouraged, keep checking back people release tickets all the time. I have 2 starfinder events Im thinking of returning, As I dont think I can handle playing 24+ hrs strait.

I watched the thursday night 4th level pre gen slot and say a few tickets open up yesterday then I grabbed them. More could open as people finalize schedules or move things around keep checking!

Also I did read a few places that Organized play leadership is evaluating how many spots there are, but they also said they can't commit to anything yet since they don't even have all of their GMs they need signed up, meaning they may have to cancel some PFS games before they even think about moving them to SFS.

Here is the thread. http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2udj5?GenCon-50-Event-Registration-Experience#2 5

Also did anyone hear if we can pick up preorder SF books at GC?

I barely got tickets for a game of Starfinder for myself and two friends on the early Friday #1-03 game. Are there any plans to expand for more of the Quest Pack on Thursday?

Not the quest pack, but each of the 5 quest can be played at any time,(first come first surve) there each a 1hr demo. The quest pack just lets you play them all together

I was really hoping to be able to join in on one of the sessions. I check every day to see if tickets open up but haven't been lucky yet. I'm also trying to get them for three of us so that's not really helping my chances. I really hope they open up some more events.

Is them adding events a thing that can happen?

We have a fixed number of tables, but we're looking to see if we can rebalance our offerings a bit.

I'm pretty sure events can be added. I often check this site for any changes/additions to the events.

I believe that we are maxed out, so we can't add an event without removing an event. So we have to figure out which ones can safely be swapped.

One more person hoping you can open up more tables for starfinder here, it is the only game I was really looking forward to that I couldn't get in. Thanks!

We will also be running Starfinder demos at our booth throughout the con!
